There are casperian strips which are suberin coated then how water will reach the centre?? ( As suberin prevent water they will not allow the entry of water.)

As endodermis consists of two types of cell first CASPERIAN STRIPS as you mentioned the function and another cell is PASSAGE CELL, present only in front of xylem which is not coated with suberin. And provide the passage to water to enter in xylem that's why the name of the cell is kept as Passage Cell. REMEMBER: Number of passage centre is equal to number of xylem.
