A couple of great quotes in there: "if you train anything well its internal" and "being soft doesn't mean having no power"

In layman’s terms, an expert fighter is in the zone. It’s very true, and it takes time. Hell, it wasn’t until my 12th year of Kenpo until I stopped thinking of it as something purely physical and starred to get really good at it.

Interesting philosophy and expressions of internal and external✨🐉💛 everything is about balance- being soft doesn’t mean having no power - having power doesn’t mean it’s hard. Movement without balance is flawed📿☺️🐲 balance isn’t key🔥

Well, one of the most daring yet sincere statement of Master Zhuá Tianxi. Probably he is closer to the core knowledge thasn most of us. Doing something as a ceremony or form without thinking is really done for the expeternals. But doing Kata with spirit is anternal. I agree. Paul.69

Having been in the martial arts (mostly Kung Fu of one kind or another) since the 1980s, and examined many external and internal arts, there is only one difference. High level external arts can "Seem" internal to the layman, but they still are not. The real difference is in the use of the dantien to generate functional power that is used to enhance the motion being applied. Internal arts do this, external arts do not. Everything else is the same. That is the secret the Masters do not share openly. He is right about one thing. Its not an External vs Internal thing. Its either Internal and external together, or its just external. ANY art or motion, that has power driving from the dantien added to it, is internal. It can not only be any martial art, it can be Gymnastics, Baseball, or as shown here, drinking tea.
