Internals: RapidStrike

So our Rapidstrike was all sorts of broken out of the box so we popped it open to see what was going on inside. Enjoy!
I didn't want to break it open further as we were still debating returning it at this point. We have since decided we will be Modding this with an almost complete rewiring.

They are inductors, that is my mistake. I haven't had the blaster back open in a few days as we are waiting on replacement motors and I looking back at it now I did miss the markings on the PCBs. Thank you for pointing this out.

I bought a Rapidstrike from Goodwill. I thought it broke. Because I kept pressing the trigger and it didn't rev. I was about to throw it out. Until I saw your video. When I got to the Jam door part, I was like wait something isn't right so I loaded darts in the mag. Inserted the mag and closed the jam door. I pressed the switch and it started to rev. I was like wow it works. I came so close to throwing out a perfectly functioning blaster. Very thankful I saw the video describing the parts.

The pusher mech isn't "weird" it just uses a sun and earth gear system ( the same system used for old fashion steam train wheels)

No. Is it just a normal rapid strike, not modded? Make sure your batteries are placed in the right way, and inspect the trigger and fly wheel switches to see if they got jammed and got stuck.

7:14 pusher system. pusher isn't working on a nerf i bought from a little kid. on closer inspection it seems to be covered in a sticky liquid. i assume cola lmao.

On the top part of the battery chamber you actually can get it apart without cutting if you look from the inside and unbuckle the blue pieces that come through the orange

hello, i have a rapidstrike but the dart gets stuck all the time, any idea?

the SMD parts at around 8:10 were capacitors, not resistors

The top switch on the trigger mech senses it the pusher is out, after you release the trigger and the pusher is still out that switch stays depressed sending power to the pusher motor until it returns back and the switch is no longer depressed, it does not sense if a mag is in the gun

take it all apart, the wiring will be the same as the modified nitron. But please note that after you change the motors to RM2's the barrel width would be too narrow for the darts to go through. That is why in my modded Rapidstike, i completely sawed off my barrel

I highly doubt there needs to be so many wires in that thing... It could probably be rewired in a much simpler fashion.

My rapidstrike's pusher doesn't work, I cracked it open and managed to take apart the mechanism the pusher was in, and put it back to get there with the pusher back in, but when I put the whole thing back together, the pusher still won't work, the blaster revs up but the pusher still won't budge, anyone know how to fix this?

Take it out, and try to run the motor. Obviously if it will run without the gearbox then it’s a mechanical issue

I wish my Lansing area target would carry all these new Nerf stuff! checked in for a week and on release date for zombie strike they tell me they are unable to put on shelves until wed. afternoon because of all the back log of boxes they haven't been able to stock.....grrrrrr.....and im gonna say this on every new nerf video i watch because I want to play with children's toys!

Actually it is the complete opposite, the rubber causes it to jam. The dart will load just fine without it.

none of the FUCKING screws will move, theyre all stripped, and i cant find any screwdrivers other than those big-ass flat tipped ones! the peg that pushes the darts into the flywheels got stuck for the second fucking time, and it wasn't anywhere near any sand, unlike the first time. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking mad. I dont know why mine is so unreliable, but it keeps breaking and i have no fuckin idea why

I am having an issue with mine where the trigger gets stuck in the depressed position when firing, I hope I can do anything about it because I've never modded anything.

Open it up, maybe it got caught somewhere on something as the trigger gets pulled.

@@harrsh7116 I don't repair nerf stuff but my best guess is probably some spring on the trigger is worn out. If I opened it it would likely never come back together so best to just leave slightly broken alone.
