I like those generation International cabover semis. Those replaced the Transtar models back in 1981 & were produced up through either 1998 or 99.

9700 fits right in in Britain and Europe as all the manufacturers over here produce this style of truck for exactly the same reasons. Ride, economy, good in tight spaces.

Greetings from the O-H-I-O Porters.🇺🇸 Well, I really liked the presentation! 🤩 Cabovers have always been my favorites! 🥰 I currently own a Walmart 9600 rig & I love it! A good friend who has retired owns a 9700 that is now for sale. I’ve watched it for some time & have waited for a chance to drive it. Well, that chance is coming up soon & I’m so looking forward to it! Who knows…It just might come home with me. I got an old trailer from him & a IH straight truck, why not a cabover as well! 😎 I might be a little old fashioned, but I like the looks of the 9600 trucks better. I don’t mind climbing up the side of the truck using dual grab handles & stepping over the wheel well. Cabovers already have great maneuverability in my book! This video was quite informative for me & I’m glad that I saw it! It actually has encouraged me to look at more details of my friend’s 9700. The video stated that the ride was improved with the setback axle & it improved the mpg. Is that really true?! I feel that all cabovers should be salvaged & restored if possible & remain HERE in the USA! Most of the ones I saw went overseas & that’s fine, but those are the ones we miss out on here. But at least someone is getting the opportunity to enjoy them. Cabovers Rule! 🥰😎✌️

@@oldinternationaltrucks 🇺🇸 Happy New Year! ❄️I love the old trucks & currently have 3 trucks. Yeah, I keep waiting & hoping for another truck that I can’t pass up on. I do have a neighbor likes to poke his nose into my business, but so far it’s manageable. I’m able to work on what I have & that’s good. I do expect another truck to come home with me in a few weeks though. Hey, trucking is in my blood! Keep up the good work! 🥰🤩✌️

I owned a 9670 brand new. loved the truck and would stay out for months at a time on the road, young and single, lol. 300 cummins, ac and no power steering with spring ride. at the time there were length limits on Virginia's secondary roads. It could pull a 48 foot trailer and still be under the 65 foot limit. 48 was th3 longest legal in 1983 and 1984 on the east coast, the two years I owned the truck. I missed that rig. Great view and sitting above the traffic was great. Handled great but was a bear to back in close quarters with no power steering. I learned a lot driving it though.

@bennynash66553 ай бұрын
@@darrylrichardson1997 Depends on what you are going to do with it. Most companies are picky over the trucks they lease on. But if you have that straight and the truck is in excellent shape than i would, though i have never been a fan of detroits that is just me. Make sure to fix any problems while they are little. Lot cheaper at home before the truck breaks than under a load on the side of the road. Good luck. I loved driving cross country and at 68 miss it every day.

Ohio Porters!🇺🇸 I can remember when they came out..would see several around. It seemed that many companies would buy one or two of them or so. I wasn’t sure what to think.
