International Criminal Court May Issue Arrest Warrant for Israeli Prime Minister | EWTN News Nightly

The International Criminal Court may soon issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top leaders for war crimes. That's according to press reports out of Israel. US officials say they don't have a clear indication that the court will issue any arrest warrants but several media outlets are reporting, Israeli officials could be accused of preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip and for pursuing an excessively harsh response, following the October 7th Hamas attack. House Speaker Mike Johnson slammed reports that the International Criminal Court is planning on issuing arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials. In a statement, Johnson said that, "instead of wrongly targeting Israel," the ICC should redirect its focus to Hamas and other Iran-aligned terror groups and prosecute them "for engaging in horrific war crimes." He adds, "The Biden Administration must immediately and unequivocally demand that the ICC stand down." Several House Republicans say they are thankful the speaker spoke out.
