We recently visited the US capital city, Washington, D.C. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the International Spy Museum. There was so much to experience here. Yes, we enjoyed the interactive features a lot. We did visit on a weekend. It would likely be less crowded on weekdays so the lines to use the interactive kiosks wouldn't take as long. But, it was a fun experience even with the wait. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

oh YES, this is most definitely my kind of site! I would easily spend hours learning about these fascinating individuals! Especially seeing as I wanted to by a spy when I was a little boy, it would be pretty cool to see a different perspective of that like and the unique tricks these people had to fool everyone around them! No spying at the Spy Museum. 🤳 Great point expressed by Jack about using an application instead of the kiosks. Fun to see so many exhibits and the inflated tank really jumped out at me, from World War II from what I remember. Nice job on the video. 📺💯🛡️

That is frustrating waiting for kiosks. I have heard about this museum and always wanted to check it out. It is amazing what they can hide in every day items, like a gun! The train looked nice, much nicer than our local system.

It was amazing to see some of the spy gadgets (like those guns). There were a lot of gadgets at this museum that I would have thought were from a fictional spy story. We had a good time checking it all out. But waiting so long for kiosks was the only negative. The DC train system did look nice and was easy to use. I love a good gift shop (ok I am a sucker for a gift shop lol) And the old James Bond films are my husband's favorite, he would love seeing all the Bond like gadgets :) Great video!

This museum really was a lot of fun. If he is into James Bond, your husband will love it. There were tons of gadgets we didn't show because we don't like to show everything in a museum as we want people to still have a lot of things they haven't seen before if they decide to go themselves. The interactive aspect was fun too. And I too love a good gift shop. My husband tolerates it but doesn't share my love. He says, "Our KZbin videos are our souvenirs." But I still made a couple of purchases before we left. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

I guess sometimes people will leave the metro cards on top of the vending machine when they are finished with them. Does not hurt to look. That's how we get around when we visit DC. Now that all the restrictions are coming off we may come back and visit again. Cool museum. Hey Wait, no shoe phone.

My first thought is you need one of those spy video cameras, Jack and Alice. Seems like maybe Maxwell Smart kept it on the bottom of his shoe so that no one would notice him filming while talking on his shoe phone! Loved going along with you on your secret mission. You would enjoy it. As far as filming... we were told you can't film when we went in October. However, we saw that the website currently says you can engage in non-flash photography and videography for personal (not professional) use. Not sure if they would consider KZbin professional use. That is such an interesting museum! I'd love to learn more about ninjas! They're so cool that I forget they actually exist outside of books and comics haha 😂 I don't know what to think about mass surveillance... I remember back in the day I used to have debates with my classmates on whether or not we were being watched and listened to by the government lol. This really was a fascinating museum! We enjoyed learning about the history of espionage. We would also love an entire museum just about ninjas though. I think it is pretty certain the government has the ability to spy on citizens. The question is under what circumstances it is actually done… which seems impossible to know unfortunately. There were a lot of cool things in the souvenir shop. We actual bought the Harriet Tubman doll that is in the video for the daughter of a friend of ours. There were several books there I am interested in reading but we are trying to get digital copies so as to not further overload our full book shelves. I do love good spy stories - fiction or non-fiction. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

Yes, the museums of Washington DC are open. However, some are only open certain days of the week due to staffing issues - so check the websites of the exact museums you want to see to be sure when they are open. Y'all should make some plans to head up there and visit. DC is lovely in the spring!
