This week, we share our tour of the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. The mission of this museum is to be "a global, innovative, educational institution whose purpose is to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible." As we visited this museum, we encountered exhibits discussing the history of the Bible, the stories of the Bible, and the impact the Bible has had on society. We will show you some highlights of these exhibits (there is much more to see in person that we won't spoil for you in this video). We will also give you a tour of the children's play area and the rooftop restaurant.
As we post this video, adherents of the Hebrew Bible are preparing to celebrate Passover. And believers in the New Testament are preparing to celebrate Easter at the culmination of Holy Week. So we thought this would be the perfect time to share with you a tour of this museum as it communicates the fascinating history and influence that these Scriptures have had on the world.

We did have a great Easter. Hope you did too. There are some really cool state of the art exhibits that we didn't want to put much of in the video so as not to spoil them for people who go to this museum. But one of the designers who created the Old Testament exhibit that won the THEA award (Themed Entertainment Association) is down in Orlando now helping design and build the Moana water attraction at Epcot. We thought that was a cool Disney tie in. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!

Yeah, with so many famous museums in DC, it is sometimes hard for newer museums to catch on and get the word out about their existence. We enjoyed checking out the exhibits and artifacts here. We definitely recommend checking it out!

We were supposed to go to DC for spring break when Covid hit in 2020. We were planning on going on seeing the monuments and some of the museums including this one. The last time we were in DC was Veterans' Day Weekend 2019. Beautiful museum with lots to see. Thanks for taking us along with you as you explored the museum.

I Loved visiting this museum! The VR tour was awsome and at that particular time the display in the basement was actual artifacts of Jesus time…. sandals, combs, jewelry, dishes. I Love Gods Word and absolutely Loved this museum. Some displays had people dressed in character and really got a taste of Jesus life and times!

This is our first stop the next time we make it back to DC. Pearl so wants to go and I agree. Looks like we may spend at least half a day there. We love to read the exhibits. Nice they let you shoot video. When in DC we use the metro to get around and like to stay in Rockville right next to the Metro station

Y’all will love this museum. We only showed about half of the exhibits in the museum. So there is a lot more to see and read about there. The Old Testament exhibit that won the Thea (Themed Entertainment Award) is a pretty awesome experience. The movies they show are good. We really did think it would be perfect for Easter which is why we held on to it for five months since our visit to save it for this week. We were very impressed with the range of exhibits and the technology employed to tell the stories of the Bible. I believe you are right… this place would be a treasure for people of faith but also just people interested in the Bible’s history and Israel’s history and Christianity’s spread around the world. Such an interesting video and awesome museum! I really loved the display with the tree and baskets of wine grapes. The game you played in the kid section looked really fun too. I'd probably be stuck one and get lots of dirty looks from kids and their parents. The restaurant looked really cool too. Especially the dining area with all the plants and nice view through the windows. The top floor looked really cool altogether. What an experience! This video was also delivered in such an all-welcoming and unifying way. Great show of class here on a personal level as well. Happy Easter!

Yes, the top floor restaurant does have some indoor seating but that garden seating area where the table marker fell over is open air. We really enjoyed the exhibits here. They were very well done. Yeah, there are a lot of museums in Washington DC so sometimes it is difficult for newer museums to get the word out about their existence. The actors inside were a nice touch to illustrate what life was like in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. Thanks for watching our tour of this museum!

Happy Easter. I have been to DC but have never gone to Bible history before. I did hear Hobby Lobby owners being religious. This is so interesting and relevant right now for sure. Hope your family had a happy Easter as well. We read an article somewhere (don't remember where) about this museum back when it was still being built. It was a cool experience. They really did have a number of state of the art exhibits using pretty amazing technology - though we didn't want to put too much of that in the video as we didn't want to spoil it for people who actually want to go there one day. I hope you get to go soon. Your family would love this place. We too have The Ark Encounter and The Creation Museum on our to do list when we travel close to those attractions. Holy Land Experience in Orlando was wonderful. I think it had so much competition from nearby attraction that it could never get a big enough piece of the tourism pie to keep it running. They had already laid some people off before the pandemic. Then the pandemic ended it for good. But you would have loved that too. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!
