Thx for posting! How was the truck acting to make you think the alternator was putting out too much? I have a 2013 Int’l Maxxforce 13 that was showing obvious symptoms of ignition switch or lock cylinder issues. It was intermittently starting and shutting down. I changed the ignition relays and that didn’t work so went ahead and changed the ignition switch and cylinder. The cylinder was goin bad for sure. Anyway seemed like that did the trick, but when you turn on the brights, the truck shuts off. The low beams are LED and brights are halogen. When extra power is called for brights, what would cause the truck to power off now? Battery putting out 13 volts at terminals in cab. Thx!!

The voltage gage was reading 16.5. And the Batteries start smelling like boil eggs.

I have the same truck. I could tell mine was bad. When I got up to 64 miles once I hit 65 the volt meter would hit 16. Also would cut off every now and then.

I like your videos but I saw a Delco Remy video once where they said never to install the pulley with the alternator vertical.

How hard is it to reroute the belt I have a alternator that locked up and shredded the belt

It helps to start with wrapping the Belt around the Crankcase Pulley and work your way out. Put the Belt around the Tensioner and Idle Wheel. If I remember correctly. Save the A/C Pulley for last.

By you replacing the Alternator on the passenger side of the vehicle. I would make sure no clamps came loose for the Turbo and Charger. I once had a whisting sound coming from the rear gasket on the EGR Cooler.
