I like the last one. Bigger is better. “I…Like big beams and I cannot lie….” 😅

I’m leaning toward the last one. Great features, a little more space in and out. If you buy one in Minnesota around the red wing area, I’d love to take you out on the river from my marina in Wabasha. Happy boating!

Hey Chad, this is the fun part. I'll just run through a few of my suggestions since I just bought my boat last season. My biggest reasoning for going as new as possible is mostly maintenance and available parts (no matter how nice it is, you'll find something to fix, ask me how I know). You also have to consider all the upholstery and plastics have been exposed for the life of the boat. One thing I would like to avoid is a traditional outdrive, if possible. As you stated, lots of maintenance with those, especially if you keep the boat in the water. I'm not a fan of Volvo either, their parts seem to be harder to find and more expensive. Personally, if you're not doing any extended trips, single engine is not a bad thing. 2 engines, 2x the maintenance. Also, one thing I really like on my 2002 is EFI. Just one less thing to mess with, no carbs. Enjoy the search, Cheers!

Excellent suggestions! Pretty much everything you said is what I’m considering. 👍👍

Hi Chad, in terms of layout the Formula and Doral are the best imo. And the one with the Overall everything its the Formula. I like Cobalts, but I do find them dark with limited head room down below. At the end of the day you will know the right boat once you step onboard, but it’s exciting to include us in the search process 🤙🏾. LadyD

My opinion, the 29 Formula PC was the nicest express cruiser out there in that size boat when it was new and is still better looking then most of the new boats being made nowadays. (I have a friend that says a particular brand of boat looks like a Nike tennis shoe but we don’t want to upset any of your viewers so we won’t go there.) Even though the formula looks to be in great shape I personally would not want an older twin engine boat with stern drives. Sooner or later those twin engines and outdrives are going to cause you to have a repair bill that will rival the valve of the boat. My recommendation is stay with a single engine boat and double and triple check the condition of the transom before you buy.

The 29PC is an awesome boat…that one would be all about mechanical condition of the engines and drives…but such is the case with all of the boats on my list. Repair bills are at the top of concerns for buying the next boat. 👍

@@WiscoBoaterI believe the biggest single engine express cruiser Formula made back in the 1980’s and 90’s was their Formula 26 PC. It looks just like the 29 just smaller. If you can live without a standup cabin try to find a formula 242 LS or their 27 foot speed boat, great running and handling go fast boats.
@WiscoBoater Жыл бұрын
@@CCCommander45 Yeah, stand up cabin isn’t a high priority, and that opens up more options. 👍

@@WiscoBoater The 27 foot formula I was trying to remember is called the 27 ZR1. If you don’t need a tall cabin you should really try to take a look at either a 24 or 27 foot formula. You may have to travel a little ways to find one, but I feel confident that you will not be disappointed if you find one in good shape.

Do you like Sea Ray? I haven’t heard you mention it ever.

It's not that I don't like Sea Ray's...they are great boats. They are just as prolific as Corvette's and I'd never buy a Corvette because of that. LOL! My personal preference for toys keeps my interests in things you don't see all that often.
@johnrossi62128 ай бұрын
@@WiscoBoater I totally get that. I like stuff that you don’t see often. I just always hear Sea Ray is good, so wanted to know what you thought of them.

First and last boats my favorite's! That last one I'm leaning to, but the trailer, or lack off, might be a bit of an issue. All the boats will require modern electronics, so no issue there!

LOL, my shopping list for electronics is already getting too long!🤣
