Yeah it sounds cool but it does not work. For a very simple reason. Guns wear.especially the barrel. It only take a few hundred rounds and the markings on the bullet would be different from the test bullet. On many guns,the barrels can be changed easily . Besides,it’s been tried in a couple of states. Guess what? It didn’t work.

But he had his own gun, so who needs the police?? And it probably never occurred to him that his gun might jam, bc that only happens on TV! Besides, he was surely smarter than some black kid, right?? I’m being facetious, but I’m sure that could have been the guy’s thinking. He also could have withheld his home address from the process and asked all callers to meet him in the parking lot of a police station, for safety’s sake, but I’m thinking the victim fancied himself a tough guy. Wow, that 2nd case in Texas sounds so familiar. It really reminds me of this guy Mark Twitchell in Canada who lured an unsuspecting man to his death by posing as a woman online. He then sent fake emails from the victim to the victim's friends to make it seem like he was fine and having a good time with the girl and that he wouldn't be coming back. He killed him out of curiosity, wanted to see what it was like...

@AMunoz-rh9cz
@AMunoz-rh9cz 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Mr Twitchell did the exact same thing didn't he? He was just kidding himself to state he killed only out of curiosity. The planning that goes into these crimes is enormous and reveals much more obsessed preoccupation with this activity than someone doing a dispassionate "experiment" would have. Killing a sleeping homeless would be much easier to do or get away with. I think there's a huge thrill in feeling smarter than everybody else, particularly other men. And why men as his victims?
@catc6050
@catc6050 3 жыл бұрын
@@AMunoz-rh9cz he was making a horror movie and I guess he wanted to kill someone to be able to make the film more "authentic". Maybe he chose men cuz they'd be more of a challenge or maybe he thought people wouldn't be as suspicious if a guy disappeared. And a guy would be less likely to tell people where he was going (although his victim did) and women would be more cautious of meeting someone at their house. He did talk to someone online for a little while before the murder, discussing their deepest darkest fantasies, which both involved killing someone and how to get away with it. It's extremely twisted and disturbing

When I am expecting someone I don't always look. Just today while watching this broadcast I opened the door without looking to some kid asking me to buy cookies which was definitely not the delivery I was expecting. I did look beyond him before getting my wallet to purchase a couple of boxes to see if anyone suspicious was assisting. His mom waved from the edge of the yard. I'm surprised the most logical suspect of Terry's murder wasn't questioned a bit more enthousiastically: even without dna etc. the police at that time could have unearthed that the parents of Terry found his behaviour quite odd, out of place. The fact that the murderer put a plastic bag on Terry's face too was a red flag: burglars wouldn't bother, this is typically done by someone close, who doesn't want the dead person "to watch" him or her. Apparantly, no polygraph was performed in the 1980's ? Sure, the Vidocq group presented a much stronger case, a dna link between the weapon and the suspect, but I'm more surprised about the lack of thinking out of the box by the police in the 1980's, focussing so much on burglars. By the way, what happened with the hair that was found in Terry's hand ? Couldn't that have been compared in the 1980's ? What is strange though is how the Vidocq group came to think the murderer probably worked in a kitchen etc. On what was that conclusion based, on the weapon ?

If they do, and the person doesn't live, they get sued by the families for 'doing it wrong.' The U.S. is too sue-happy. Consequently, even doctors and nurses who are witnesses to crime rarely intervene to help, because if the person dies, someone from the family tries to sue them. So that's why they don't have to do it if they don't want to. To get sued, you may have your attorneys' fees paid by the Police Department, but your own personal assets are at stake. If people want more proactive good samaritans, then they need to stop suing if the aide is not successful.

I hate that they keep saying "bullet casing". There is no such thing! It is a *cartridge casing*. It holds the propellant (powder), projectile (bullet), and primer (the ignition cap at the back of the casing). Sometimes you hear the term "shell casing" but that is not correct either.
