A consistent trait of Ame's is that she has a deep seated hatred of nerds (which otaku fall under). At the very end of her final "stream," KAngel starts going on a vague tangent about all the anime she watches. I love this kind of game.

she refers to "nerds" as オタク in the original japanese script. i think this is the only weird thing about the localization, but it's whatever i think ame does consider herself an otaku on some level, but is more self-aware about her loser status than all the maleoid incel otaku she intends to exploit for their money and attention

@@windose20 I figured there was something more to "nerds", but I didn't want to jump the gun in case it was something else (damn you, second guessing.) Odd they didn't keep the original word, though. That makes sense. Something I've noticed is that Ame, for all her faults and attention seeking, is surprisingly self aware and introspective on certain subjects, including the media she does enjoy (such as Fight Club and BL manga, if my memory's right.) Though she likely wouldn't be into the average otaku-bait, or if she is, she'd have a different reason for enjoying it from your average no-life waifu hoarder online. It's those little nuances that make her so fascinating as a character.

I think this game might be the first and only to legitimately chill me to my core. I've seen my fair share of horror, but this feels very grounded, very real. This feels like something that could actually happen, and probably has before in this day and age. You watch Ame break down in real time not because of some fantastical force, but because of her mounting stress and a very real terror caused by a danger that could happen to anyone. How many streamers have had mental breakdowns this horrible at the hands of the Internet?

I decrypted the title of 11:29. It says “Welcome to the Internet Angel’s Stream!” in ROT-13 Cipher. 11:59 says “Now, she is truly happy.” Theory: The last stream of hers could either be a hallucination of hers that represents the “perfect expectations” of her streaming career, due to her fans not questioning how she is so happy in a time where she was doxxed and fetishized. It could also be a reality, since her true self has been “murdered” by Kangel. She no longer has to transform into Kangel, hence the no transformation (thanks recursive). This could even be a combination of the two as well, since the pills help Kangel calm down a bit too much (the reason why she is suddenly so happy), and the live comment section seeming like they were excited for a time like this (Kangel being back to normal again). She also could’ve felt like the need to never be Ame again, to protect her own mental health, that may be why she has “killed” her true self.

Nah, I actually think Haachama is pretty stable. Remember, most of the crazy stuff with Haato/Haachama started with the fanbase, Haachama just ran with it. Even her break and return wasn't really mental health related, but just because she was also doing school at the time. She also has made it clear that she doesn't NEED to be a vtuber, like financially. It honestly just looks like a creative outlet for her explosively creative personality. Put another way, there's plenty of Holomem that I worry about before her.
