I find all this very interesting and would like to learn more. My only objection is to labeling emotions as positive or negative. Emotions are functional and contextual. And what could be positive or negative is how they are expressed and experienced. I think this seems to be incorporated in your framework but the language might not be completely consistent with it (negative/positive vs functional/disfunctional, for instance.)

Diana Romero I agree with the dangers of classifying anger, fear and sadness as negative emotion, human beings would not have evolved without those emotions if they didn’t prove pertinent to our survival.

I think in relation to Limbic, Fright/Flight/Freeze, nervous system response, we have an inborn "negative" bias that comes from a primitive protective necessity from when there was a Lion in the bush. In that regard, referring it to negative is not a moral judgment as much as a description of the nervous system response. To wire the brain for happiness we must stay in conscious positivity for extended periods of times to rewire the brain away from this negative bias. (work of Dr. Rick Hansen).

Wonder if hypocondriacs are being super hyper-sensitive to their interoceptive state to the extent of "mis-feeling" their state of being ?

40 million americans? Last I checked, it was over 300 million in the US. Perhaps you meant to say, 40 million are affected by Anxiety disorders; I've seen that stat.

I would be interested in seeing how ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores relate to interception and proprioception. Also I've found quite often in someone with Fibromyalgia/ME or chronic pain, often the proprioception is diminished.

It is written :"Research shows that we also have an emotional side to body awareness called interoception" What are they please ?

Are you saying that motion could change emotion ? I mean, for instance, Since feeling sad is associated with head down, passive behavior, sinking, May a head up or open posture make change your emotion ? If so, how do you deal with the "live your emotion" ? Is this not "counter-natural" ?
@floriangirard20523 жыл бұрын
I guess your intervention is more for chronic emotional disorder or prevention than "acute emotional disorder" (it's even maybe not a disorder if it's only acute...)

I enjoyed the beginning until you stared to talk about the Laban Bartenieff movement analysis. I feel like it is your interpretation. Also. This is not how you pronounce Laban.
