I’ve suffered from people being prejudice towards me, but do I focus on that? No. I try my damndest to look past that and live life as a happy human being. @@N3rdmeow What a stupid comment. How does anything change? You have to make changes in your own backyard before you can change the world. You'll never change what happens in other countries, so concentrate on your own. Assuming that's you in your profile pic, so many of your generation seem to be all about protesting BS based on zero facts (just nonsense garbage you chose to believe) and making a loud noise, causing destruction and achieving nothing. Bro a girl in my school was so races. Me and my friend we were talking about how what color was Jesus because it was brought up. After the bell rang the girl came up to my friend and me and said “if Jesus is black then count me out . Bye Christianity hello Budism. (If that’s how you spell it). “ I got pissed of by the fact that she is not even Christian she is frickin catholic! And she didn’t even know what budism was! (Can’t spell) And my poor friend was offended by this since it was meant to offend her. And other black people who were near us.

Not wanting your kids to date people outside of their race does not make you a racist. You could respect, and love other people without taking them to bed with you. It’s about trying to preserve your own culture or what you feel gives “your people” their identity. But it should not be because you think they are less than you. I have sons and daughters. If they decide to marry someone different I would support it it may be a surprise for a few minutes, but after that I would just be focusing on what type of PERSON he or she is. In the end we are just people.

Being in a black women white men couple isn’t easy, I always get questioned if I’m insecure about my skin, I get called bed wench by black men, they ask me why am I with white instead of black, black people me call me a white girl that’s trapped in a black body. We still love each other very very much, I don’t see that we’re a interracial couple, it just feels like two people in love with each other. The thing I hate about these is that the boyfriend never speaks up to defend his girlfriend, I know he's an actor but what kind of man would someone be if they didn't at least defend someones humanity before it's stripped away.

We can’t say for sure that the boyfriend doesn’t defend them in a real situation, this however is meant to see what random people who don’t know they are being filmed would do. If he were to speak up first others might follow, but the point is to see what would they do if they were the only ones to speak up.

Racism so long as it is one way? What if the hair salon lady was black and did this? I'm sure there are those who would say nothing but it is racism too. Why is this relevant? Because it's never talked about or portrayed and thus people can forget it and act like it is not a thing. Oh the racist white woman...what cliche trope (white man too) all races can be prejudice and I wish more shows like this portrayed that so people can see what the real world can be like all races do this shit not just one but only one gets picked on for it.

My wife is a black woman and sadly some people are just hateful and/or ignorant; it's definitely hurtful. However, love is strong than that, as you know, so I'm happy they didn't allow others to get in between that. Most people give you "the look" and it's no mistake as to what it means, but I'm okay with them silently fuckin off. Oddly enough, we live in GA and since we've been a couple, no one has ever used slurs, but when we got married in Colorado someone yelled something from their car as they were driving by. Granted, they clearly didn't have the balls to do it in person, so although that had me furious, I try not to let people that feel inferior get to me because who are they anyway? No one. It's most hurtful when it comes from family though.

This really speaks to the latina woman's character because even though the actress was discriminating towards the girl, she said to the latina "you're ok". So she could've stopped talking. A lot of times if you're on the good side of resistance people tend to fold but she cared so much she was in tears. I was in tears because of how compassionate she was. This isn’t how racism shows up for most black people. This show annoys me, it gives moral grandstanding trophies for protesting overt racism. It misleads the public on how racism appears in society. Racism for most of us (black ppl) shows up in higher prices, being kicked out of an establishment for being disruptive when we defend ourselves. It shows up in not even being scheduled in salons or our white partners being excluded from most white communities. It’s these same same people who protest overt racism but turn a hard corner to systemic racism and subversive racism which is how most black people experience oppression in the modern age. It’s redlining, the school to prison pipeline, education funding, healthcare access, the drug war, those systemic forms of oppression are what truly hurt black people not dumb blonds who say racist shit.
