As a waitress myself, flirting with customers is unprofessional sexual harassment.
@tsakri16254 жыл бұрын
@@fishsauce2221 You won't have a girlfriend for very long if you try to make her jealous. Plus, flirting with patrons slows down efficiency. A waitress's goal is to serve patrons as fast as possible. If I have 10-20 tables that need my attention while I'm taking my sweet time bantering with you, my boss is going to have a problem with me. So it's not a win-win.
@peytonwooley23324 жыл бұрын
@@fishsauce2221 the ppl that always say "a LITTLE flirting is harmless" are the ones who dont stay in a relationship long. A "little" usually always turns into a lot. Its like saying oh its just a kiss from a random girl/guy but you know you wont wanna stop there and alot of ppl can proceed further, cuz they care about there egos more then there partners feelings. Just saying as a point. Too me a little can become dangerous quick, if both are single flirting is fine and cool, but not when one when both parties are in a relationship. Plus flirting is unprofessional to begin with in the workplace.

It's up to the partner being flirted with to shut it down. A simple "I'm married," or "I'm in a relationship" will do. Unless you as a couple have discussed it before and agreed you don't mind if they get flirted with.
@ThomasBoyce50002 жыл бұрын
That depends on someone's personality. Not everyone is assertive like that.
@myrawest2 жыл бұрын
@@ThomasBoyce5000 it's simply choosing to respect your partner. And to put your partner and relationship before anything else. One can very politely let someone know their advances are unwelcome. @@InZaNiOnGaMiNg come on man, you're just trying to knit pick. You know as well as I do, that was just an example of what to say. So in this case, obviously the person knows he's in a relationship or married, so I guess he could say clearly, "I'm not interested." Or one of my favorites, "Excuse me, I want to enjoy this dinner with my beautiful wife." Just saying, it's always the responsibility of the partner being flirted with to shut it down and respect the person they have committed to. This is especially important when their partner is absent. Even then.
@SillyRamen2 жыл бұрын
@@myrawest While it is the responsibility of the partner being flirted with to shut it down, the other partner has the right to be upset about the situation, especially in the case this other person knows they are flirting with someone in a relationship right in front of the person's partner. It's intentionally disrespecting them. So the person getting disrespected should have the right to say something about it to since it directly involves them. It's not about not trusting your partner to shut it down. You can completely trust your partner to do so, but I'd probably still have something to say to the other person about disrespecting me too.
