Okay, so I have this theory that WM/BW interracial relationships are almost always healthier than BM/WW ones. I think it stems from the fact that BM and WW are socialized into victimhood. And while at its core, it’s true that they are victims of a society designed to oppress them, society teaches them to base their entire identity on that victimhood and make it the defining feature of their experience. It’s reinforced in popular culture, media, and even the social expectations we have of the two groups. On the other hand, WM are not victims, so many of them learn how to be accountable and take responsibility for their actions/experiences organically (Especially nowadays when there’s a big “push” to force them to recon with the actions of their ancestors). And BW are actually victims - and in fact MORE oppressed than both BM and WW due to our double minority identity. But because society’s expectations and tropes are inverted for us (i.e., we’re never given innocence) we’re *forced* into our accountability/responsibility. And there’s actually some data out there that supports my theory (i.e.,BW/WM couples get divorced at MUCH lower levels than BM/WW). So imma call this Back-White Relational Continuum theory and y’all can quote me when you write your PhDs 🤣 _Footnote:_ I hate when people in IRs try to frame other black people as “haters.” I’m in an IR and I 100% understand why people are opposed to them. It’s a lot of work to be with someone who doesn’t, won’t and can’t completely understand such a large part of your life. Plus, your children will (usually) be “read” as black _(unless you’re a bright bright lightskin like Lionel Ritchie)_ so there’s a LOT of pressure on you, alone, as the black parent to help the kids navigate blackness. Some people just don’t feel like lifting these burdens and they shouldn’t be shamed for that.

Well isn’t this something. I made this video months ago and decided to scrap it because I could not find a missing link in the research (would be great to do my own study, but I do not have the time). In any case, I agree with your theory. However, my agreement is based on my hunch with something very specific missing. I will have to revisit this.
@lorelange2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I disagree with the accountability of WM part. I would say that patriarchy has perks that allow them to not be accountable till this day. "Boys will be boys" teach them very early, how many restraining orders a woman has to fill before she is killed, because for some reason the laws writte by mostly WM won't correctly deal with that. It's only recently that they've been challenged, only challenged, with harassment at work laws that don't work all the time often because it is a culture hard to dismental, the NBA NFL owners bs we've been seeing, all the regular folks caught on tape, and the emergence of these incels threatening people online, and killing left and right cause they couldn't get laid, all due to feminism somehow. Also, when angry they would storm the capital and get a few months in jail. They still can rape girls and get 6 months in jail and get early release because the white male judge thinks it's was enough, usually if he can sees himself or his son in the rapist, especially if the rapist and white and rich. They're barely starting to be challenged, being racist is simply their 1st amendement right, and any type of criticism or bad negative consequences... you want to cancel them, you should get over it, or you're a communist, a snowflake, etc... There is still a lot of arrogance and entitlement.

Lol! Thanks for this comment. The PhD part made me giggle 😂 I have been researching things related to this in the UK and there is actually a paper from around 2015 called “Falling through the cracks” that talks about black girls falling through the cracks in education as most research doesn’t really focus on them. It focuses on black boys and white girls to the point that the data on black girls education barely exists and is considerably lacking in comparison to the other two groups. It’s a very interesting read because it was done when Obama was president and talks about “post racialism” being naive and damaging too.

@BlairWaldorf20132 жыл бұрын
The reason why they did that whyte guy the way they did is because this is one of the RARE times they could. In almost all cases the Whyte Man is the Alpha so BM can’t do anything but accept it, in this case the two BM had a rare advantage by the white man implicitly understanding he can’t show his position of inherit power so as to not turn this into WM being disrespectful to the BC show. In *ANY* other circumstance where the WM is generally in his position of power this wouldn’t have happened. And at the end of the day the stats bare out as the WW/BM aren’t together anymore but the BW/WM are. That’s also why the BM have so much hatred towards us dating out (but not when they do it) because they know when we do it is rooted in respect/love and BW are loyal to a fault so if that loyalty is being given to non-black men (and in mass like we are now) then the inevitable conclusion is that BM will be left with no one and nothing to fall back on once their relationships with non-black women eventually end. It’s all rooted in using BW, and we are finally getting to a point where we want better for ourselves and see that centuries of putting everyone else 1st hasn’t and won’t get us anywhere…BW choose the best man!

The host actually ignored those two huge revelations from the ww/bm couple to then specifically degrade bw who date wm and specifically the bw in the interview who was supposedly his friend. The host legit ignored all of that content where a black man said he loved the racism he faced from his white gf/wife's family and friends without degrading his blackness or manhood. Yet he immediately turned the focus on a black woman and said she was less of a black woman for picking a white man and how bm would ignore her intellect and accomplishments because they may think she shouldn't speak. The host clearly doesn't respect black women while respecting wm, other bm and ww. Disgusting.

I remember watching this episode and never watching that channel again. I was extremely disappointed in the host. I felt like he was seeking answers so that he could smoothly transition into dating white women himself. He didn't dig into any of the psychology of that pairing (BM/WW) and it's never seen as traitorous when those two date but only when BW date WM!! Typical and I checked smooth out.

She wanted to jump in and answer a question (which by the way, not directed at her) just to 1) scapegoat bw, 2) draw attention to herself, and 3) to look like a victim like Themis eloquently pointed out. All she (along with the host and his poor questioning skills) accomplished in doing is pointing out that her (the ww's) family and friends did not accept him.
@herscepter52632 жыл бұрын
Rachel should've said, "It goes both ways." How can bm accept a bw with a wm in a relationship? They always want to make the wm the victim? But anyway, they are not together anymore, but Rachel and her husband are still going strong.😁

It is comical how the moderator keeps harping on black people not accepting other black people in interracial even though according to the black male/white woman couple it’s literally just white people who are the ones having a problem with them together. This was such a bad conversation. The black male moderator has no interest in actually exploring the real issues of interracial dating or the rampant hypocrisy in the black community where everyone is harsher on black women for dating out even tho black males do it at a much higher rate. He also doesn’t care about holding the white woman’s feet to the fire for admittedly keeping racist friends around. He also spent way too much time centering the white woman in this whole crazy conversation. It felt like the discussion was just an entire support group for Becky and her feeling bad about dating a black man. It was boring.

Look at the body language of the two couples. For majority of the video, the BM WW couple are holding hands (very awkwardly might I add) whereas the WM BW couple appear more relaxed during the interview. Notice the WW’s hands when she’s talking about how she hasn’t lost friends but implies that they’re still a part of her circle. Is it me or does it seem like the BM WW couple has something to prove or hide? I’m no body language expert tho. Just a theory 🤷🏾♀️

The host did a horrible job with his line of questioning! DAMN! Really?! Why the hell are BW always being asked to explain “jealousy” ? I don’t understand why some BM think all BW are jealous of who they date/marry outside of BW instead of fear what could possibly happen to him based on the past and PRESENT. Who usually march for them? The WW literally sat there and said his family accepts her but, her family and friends only see his color. I’m so f*cking annoyed by these two BM…NO! Just NO! I judge people in general as individuals…I’m so glad not all BM think this way! That BM with that WW are a confused pair I hope they don’t procreate until they get a clue.
@blackwidowrowe62712 жыл бұрын
I subscribed from CallMeCocoa channel. Your facial expressions cracks me up! 🤣 I’ve been binge watching your videos. First of all,they should have had that conversation of acceptance before marriage. White People know the double standard they have in their community,she could have had that conversation with her parents. LOL 😂 Like…now they are divorced NOW. Also,the moderator saying he felt some type of way that a BW chose a WM but didn’t have that same energy for the WW/BM shows his bias. She (The WW) answered the question ,even though he was asking the BM, because she was deeply effected the MOST. We all know the BM’s friends loved it and thought that was a WIN. Let’s be real 🍵🐸 That BM looked very pathetic accepting the fact that His wife is still working through dealing rejecting him. Like….they accepted that as if it was normal. That’s EXACTLY why their divorce rate is so darn high. WW are not built for that sh*t. The host is trash and btw he’s Nigerian. 😂😂😂😂 He use to date Yvonne from Insecure. Lastly,she’s not taking a strong BM away from no BW. She didn’t take anyone. That BM is weak and she can stay with him 😂PK is willing to settle to join a racist family yet that’s a strong BM!? WW/BM couples want attention so bad. This interview was so bad and trash 😂 It made BM look desperate and pathetic. Most BW would not accept being in PK’s place at ALL. Also,a BW would have had more judgement. WM tend to cut their family off for the BW anyway,but that’s a different story. PK and his wife are not gonna stay married for long.
