I met a Texas girl, back in '85, and 2 years later we got married and started a family. It's been 30+ years of wedding anniversaries since! There are challenges along the way - of course, what relationship does not have ups and downs, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, our babies (now grown adults), have had the best of both cultures: they are empathetic and strong-willed at the same time! And, do you want to know who "leveled up?" We both did.

I really like the honesty and candidness of these 2 couples. I get it that at times, the word "jackpot" seemed offensive. But from the side of Filipinos who are hopeless romantic, I wouldn't say it is totally bad. It's not only in the Philippines that they discriminate their fellow countrymen for being paired with foreigners. I think it is very common in our neighboring countries as well. Right here in Thailand, marrying a foreigner also means a 'jackpot' or a way to skip poverty especially in the northeastern region. When they see westerners on his 50s, it means dollars. But it is what it is. People will always say something. Don't get too affected by it. Love your family more ❤️.

I like the discrimination part Eric had mentioned. It is very true, pinoys discriminated their fellow pinoys in one way or another. I cannot imagine myself in these two guys' shoes whenever someone insults them, either in person or social media, by directly or indirectly saying things that are hurtful. Eugene and Eric deserve a huge credit for withstanding the ignorance comments from the ignorants. I guess the trick is to stand in your level, and not to ever go down the same level where fools morons are. Good job you guys.

This is a great vlog. Yeah, we Filipinos have great cultures such as being kind , very hospitable and very caring to friends and family and most of all we always take care of our family and parents but Filipinos are very judgemental and discriminating. They make such big deal about looks. I am the least attractive in my family of 10 but I have the best marriage life and career which means looks does not mean anything. I now reside in the US and I take care of mom and dad in the Philippines. This character of some Filipinos will always be here and will stay. You know what they say " Do not change the things that you cannot change" Just deal with it in a positive way. I always believe to look at the good things rather than focus on the negative things . That's all I can say. God bless all of you
