Fun fact: in that final shot from "The Usual Suspects", there is a group of cops talking to each other near Agent Kujan. One of the cops is looking towards us, the camera, and laughing. That's actually Christopher McQuarrie, the writer of the story. It was put in as a nod and a wink to the audience that they had just been bamboozled.

For me, the most fun to watch an interrogation scene was from Mission Impossible Fallout, in the beginning. It was set up so well, with the scenes before that scene, even with the title name "Fallout" which deceived everyone, and when the reality was revealed all of the theatre sounded with "Ooooh" and clapping. That's when I knew I was up for a fantastic cinema experience.

@@StudioBinder Hope the best growth for this channel. You know what, I joined a film academy last year in my country Nepal. And they asked me about shot sizes and replied them what I had learned from this channel and the tutor was like 😳 whao. And he asked where did you learn from and I replied; Studio Binder. From then nowadays they teach their students demonstrating your videos for filmmaking classes. But I quit my classes there just after a month because they didn't teach anything new to learn but they made my self-esteem go down. But whenever I watch your video, I see a great filmmaker in me. Thanks for existing ❣️

LOL, I didn't knew that "finding a stranger in the alps" and feeding them "scrambled eggs" turned out to be so enraging. Hilarious touches to Walter's rage at the end. Really loved this video, The Big Lebowski and The Usual Suspects interrogations are among my favorites for these reasons, thanks for including them. Keep 'em coming.

MI:III's interrogation is world class filmmaking. You can put that scene on anywhere and anytime and everyone will stop to watch it. Hell I've seen the film multiple times and it stresses me out each one. I truly believe Hoffman's character is going to kill him every single time

I think “deception” is the most interesting and nuanced of an interrogation scenes! It’s more complex imo; where it’s important to consider, ‘does the audience know the secret?’, ‘does the protagonist or antagonist know more info than the other?’. To make even more interesting, to do it right things like foreshadowing, checkovs gun, red harrings, and other plot devices - have to be considering and moreover used well!

The light, the values of the shots, mouvement of camera etc... In fact how according to the atmosphere we are looking for: stress, intense, calm, dark, bright, effervescence..etc.
