Jay, Thanks again for taking the time to share your experiences. Your humble presence belies the burning curiosity that I recognize from a distance. I can see that you are figuring this process out on a scale that matters but wisely, not yet the entire farm. I’m praying that you’re called upon by Zach Johnson, Chet Larson or Cole Sonne or other KZbinrs to learn how to adapt your experience to experiment with on their operations. If we get a million sets of eyeballs catching a glimpse of how their food “could be” grown, and what it actually takes to do it, things would start to change for the better. Until then, our healthcare system will continue to function as a progressively more expensive bandaid.

Lots of great information ! Your corn looks really good ! Taking my boys to football today I noticed how many fields were starting to turn brown and my corn with the cover crop is still really green even with hardly any rain . I guess that could be a maturity date in the corn as well but I got to believe this cover crop is the real difference . Thanks for sharing and have a great evening !

High five on getting to 10K! Really like the mix. I wondered if you had hail damage, been watching the radar and it looked like there was at least one storm back in July that deposited some hail. I'm sharing your videos with corn and bean farmers I know in the midwest who are interested in covercropping but don't know where to start. All my experience is in the southwest with irrigation. Keep up the good work!

What method do you use to interseed? I know some farmers use a seed drill. Others broadcast seed. Some use a sprayer. Finally, some are using drones.
How much help do you have to farm 8k? We farm 2400 in Indiana with 3 guys and it seems like a lot. But we do all of our own spraying and fertilizer and hauling. Just curious how you are set up because it has sounded in the past like it was just you and your dad.
