Interstate 264: Norfolk into Portsmouth, VA

A short ride westbound on Interstate 264 from Norfolk into Portsmouth, VA.

wow what a trip! i was stationed at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth in 82/83. took that route often.. Haven't seen it since 83! nice memory.thanks

Such an interesting route...Hampton Roads is a bit underrated IMO (from a driving aspect). This is one of those must-see routes while in the area. Thumbs up!

Wow- I remember this ride from 1989 when I was in VA Beach with my grandparents and aunt- one day my aunt, grandmother and I went for a ride around Norfolk whilst my grandfather stayed back at the hotel and I do remember this ride and tunnel as we went around Norfolk. Reason I'd gone with my my aunt and grandmother is cause I wanted to see more of the area rather than watch old movies with my grandfather in the hotel room! You had a better day to do it than I did- when I did this ride it was rainy and miserable!

Even without you mentioning it, I could tell this vid was several months old...VDOT repaved 264 between late fall and early this spring. Pretty good vid (even with the old concrete bumps). I also noticed that except for overhead guide signage zooms, you're fairly minimalist on the in-video comments.

Thanks for watching. It all depends on the video, sometimes I have more comments than others. This particular video seemed best not to over-do the annotations. Good eye, noticing the items which date this video. One thing you didn't mention is that the Downtown Tunnel now carries a toll.
