Wallace used to be very important for I-90 travelers, because I-90 not only went down the city streets, it made a 90 degree turn in the middle of the town. Traffic jams could be extreme there, and so travelers would want to know how close they were getting to Wallace. The bypass is only a few decades old.

Super excited to finally be at 90! Cannot wait for you to return to Wisconsin Couple of quick thoughts: 1) Signing Billings as the primary control city where 90 East & 15 North separate is fine with me, as Billings is the largest city in Montana and is where 90 meets the western end of 94. 2) Signing Bismarck at the start of 94 in Billings is the correct choice, in my opinion. There is not much on 94 between Billings & Fargo and signing the state capital makes the most sense. 3) Signing Rapid City, SD out of Billings and through Wyoming does make sense. I agree with you on that.

The likely rationale for signing Moorcroft and Sundance is that they're the turnoffs (eastbound and westbound, respectively) for Devil's Tower. Granted, even that's not as big a tourist draw as, say, Yellowstone, but there's no other possible reason. Some others, like Post Falls and Beulah, are probably there because they're border towns and as such are regarded as vaguely significant by locals (though Beulah is admittedly a huge stretch!).

I think doing a rank the DOTs for the northwest might be a little odd due to how little we have been in either of the Dakotas. You said the same thing in the Midwest DOT video, and we have not had any time in ND or SD since that video.
