23:26 Yeah this signing off 405 has puzzled me for as long as I've been aware of it, it lets you off right in Lynnwood, and they've removed all the secondary I-5 signage for Everett which made sense given that Everett is a large city on I-5 and pretty much marks the northernmost end of the Seattle metro area

The speed limit in Montana used to be called “reasonable and prudent”. That changed after one guy got a speeding ticket in 1996 and challenged it. Then the lawmakers decided it was “too vague” of a rule and that’s when they changed it to 75 MPH. It was changed to 80 MPH back in 2016.

Driving Britt There are vantage points for both directions of I 90 on the Moses Lake side of the river. The eastbound one offers a short but steep hike to a hilltop with horse statues. You can look down on the Vantage Bridge from like 600 feet up! There isn’t as big of a vertical on the westbound point, but it is almost directly down to the river.

Wallace used to be very important for I-90 travelers, because I-90 not only went down the city streets, it made a 90 degree turn in the middle of the town. Traffic jams could be extreme there, and so travelers would want to know how close they were getting to Wallace. The bypass is only a few decades old.

I can understand the Moorcroft bit. If you've ever seen Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, you might recall a scene where Roy (Richard Dreyfuss) is in Moorcroft heading for Devil's Tower. In fact, Moorcroft is the best exit for Devil's Tower going east, while Sundance is the best exit off westbound 90. Also, as so many Wyoming cities are so small, nothing is apparently too small for 90 to list on their signs. Buffalo and Sundance are actually pleasant little towns.

Super excited to finally be at 90! Cannot wait for you to return to Wisconsin Couple of quick thoughts: 1) Signing Billings as the primary control city where 90 East & 15 North separate is fine with me, as Billings is the largest city in Montana and is where 90 meets the western end of 94. 2) Signing Bismarck at the start of 94 in Billings is the correct choice, in my opinion. There is not much on 94 between Billings & Fargo and signing the state capital makes the most sense. 3) Signing Rapid City, SD out of Billings and through Wyoming does make sense. I agree with you on that.

@@ControlCityFreak I’ve only been on the section from Chicago to Cleveland when I was little as we visited relatives In Wisconsin. Speaking of Scenery while I haven’t been on many of these roads themselves I have picked out some of my favorite looking interstates from your video’s. Derik De Baum Both directions of I 90 on the east side of the Vantage Bridge (the Columbia River crossing) have scenic points. The eastbound direction has a small hike up a relatively steep hill to some horse statues, and affords a 600 foot vertical view of the river. The westbound one doesn’t have as great of a relief, but it is right against the drop off. This means either direction will treat you if you see the turn-off!

The likely rationale for signing Moorcroft and Sundance is that they're the turnoffs (eastbound and westbound, respectively) for Devil's Tower. Granted, even that's not as big a tourist draw as, say, Yellowstone, but there's no other possible reason. Some others, like Post Falls and Beulah, are probably there because they're border towns and as such are regarded as vaguely significant by locals (though Beulah is admittedly a huge stretch!).

At some point in the future, do you plan on doing US routes, like US Route 97, and maybe even state routes, like Washington State Route 20? Most of them may not have some of the signage interstates have, like exits, but they still have control city signs telling you X place is in Y miles. Although there are some that do have freeway-like sections, such as Washington State Route 14 or US Route 26. But yeah, would love to hear your thoughts on those as well.

So what I’m hearing is that despite Wyoming having a Lyman, its Limon is Buffalo. To be fair, from Sheridan, east is the correct way to Buffalo, NY. However, that is not the case westbound, so the control destination should be “billings/Yellowstone.” Yellowstone can be Wyoming’s in state destination, but if it must be a city, then “Cody” is the closest sizable to Yellowstone’s east entrance

After Billings the control city should be “Wyoming” because that covers Sheridan and all the Wyoming cities on I-25. I know Cody and Jackson are the other way but that can be fixed by signing “Yellowstone” as a secondary westbound. In Wyoming eastbound should be Casper than Rapid city. Westbound should be Billings/Yellowstone until Sheridan and then Billings, then back to Yellowstone/Billings once it no longer makes sense to go south to Sheridan to get to Cody
