I think a connection from Denver to Oklahoma City and on to Dallas and Houston would be a good one.

The reason I-530 exists currently is because it's meant to be spur route to connect I-30 and future I-69 together. Its meant to extend south towards Monticello where I-69 is meant to pass through coming from the Mississippi River going south west into Louisiana. For greater details on its routing I recommend the video by Mileage Mike. In short, I-69 is meant to start at the Mexican border in Texas and head towards the Canadian border in Port Huron, Michigan. A lot of parts have already been completed in many states with Michigan being the only state to have their section fully completed. Arkansas and Louisiana are the only two states along its routing that have not started building it yet and probably won't any time soon.

Can’t use I-51 in Mississippi since US-51 is running from Memphis Tennessee near New Orleans Louisiana, via Jackson Mississippi. It’s better to have I-53 from Little Rock Arkansas to Jackson Mississippi, since there is no US-53, and US-53 are in Minnesota and Wisconsin only, so it will not violate the AASHTO rules to have duplicate two of different highway markers with same two digits.

It is possible to have future I-28 from I-25 in Las Cruces New Mexico to Fort Smith Arkansas, via Roswell New Mexico, Lubbock Texas, and Wichita Falls Texas, as well as McAlaster Oklahoma, since major cities does have only one interstate or no interstate highway to run through it, all are the population of 50,000 people, each.

Should I-28 be connected from Las Cruces New Mexico to Texarkana Texas? Portion of US-82 in northern Texas between Lubbock Texas and Texarkana Texas are freeway with some interchanges, since Texas could be the fastest growing state for the next 20 years. I-28 does serve the following bigger cities like: Las Cruces New Mexico, Alamogordo New Mexico, home of the Holloman Air Force Base, Artesia/Roswell New Mexico, Lubbock Texas, Wichita Falls Texas, Gainesville Texas, Sherman Texas, Paris Texas, and Texarkana Texas. Correction: US-82 does go between Alamogordo New Mexico to Texarkana Texas. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I-44 ending in Wichita Falls is because the I-44 designation was extended southwest from Oklahoma City (along the HE Bailey Turnpike) in 1982 to celebrate Oklahoma's 75th statehood anniversary. With that being said an I-28 would be very beneficial to the areas mentioned, although I have a second one. An I-31/33 from Ennis, Texas to Limon, Colorado, roughly following the path of US-287, would be very beneficial to provide a direct link between the Texas Triangle and Denver as well as Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and promote growth in the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma Panhandle, and Southeast Colorado. (Edit: After watching part 2, I do really like your I-45 suggestion)

I-44 was supposed to go from Wichita Falls to Abilene (I-20) to San Angelo to Del Rio, but I-69 got priority. And I-14 is now a new priority. A proposed I-32 was supposed to go from Fort Worth to Amarillo but got trashed due to no funding. I say make them all and all cities prosper.

I thought there will be I-31 to connect future I-27 in Dumas Texas to I-80 in North Platte Nebraska. I understand they will extend I-27 from Laredo Texas to Raton New Mexico.

Speaking of the I-530 in Arkansas Since I-57 will be extended into Little Rock. Extend I-57 down I-530 and cut a new path all the way down to I-210 in Lake Charles Louisiana. It would service Pine Bluff, Monroe, Alrxandria and Lake Charles at the I-10 and I-210 on the east side. Extending I-16 from Macon Ga to Meridian Ms. Relocate I-85 and have it terminate in Panama City, Fla

In my opinion, I think that I-995 is unnecessary. This is because I-995 would be just a renaming of US-13, and Delaware state route 1. I see your point, but I think it is unnecessary. I've taken US-13 and It wasn't that bad, actually. Yes, it wouldn't be 75 miles per hour, but it was still pretty fast, according to my memory.

A interstate we need extended is I-77 from where it ends in Columbia to Savannah. The reason why is not only make it easier to drive to Savannah and Florida from Columbia and Charlotte (two pretty large cities), But it would take lots of traffic off of 26 (which already has enough of it) and 95. Extending it would take hours off of travel time and would increase local economies. It could take US route 321 until it reaches the SC-GA border in a town called Garnett. It could then take SC route 119 All the way to the border when it turns to GA 119. It could then take GA 21 all the way to 95 where it would end

It's my understanding that if I-69 is ever built in southern Arkansas, that I-530 is to extend straight south from Pine Bluff to I-69. Parts of it have already been built from what I understand. There is also speculation that when I-14 is built through central Louisiana, that I-530 is to be extended down to I-14 at some point between Natchez, MS and Alexandria, LA, and then possibly down to Baton Rouge, LA. That is probably the route for a future I-51.

If i-995 would be a thing, it would be the new highest numbered interstate in the interstate system, however some of i-995 might become future i-99, areas may include the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and DE 1 also i got this in my recommendations so ill like to see i-995 be a thing in the future since theres already an image of i-995 in the wiki

I think that both NY-2 and MA-2 should be future I-92, since I-92 is in Massachusetts just south of Vermont and New Hampshire borders, is a good choice, and I-92 might connect from I-87 in Troy New York to I-495 near Lowell Massachusetts, which is northwest of Boston. MA-2 is approximately 58% of freeway of that Bay State. I have noticed that I-90 (Mass Pike) is almost touch the Connecticut border as close as one mile at some points. Too bad that I-92 has been cancelled in southern Vermont as well as southern New Hampshire, via US-4, I-89, I-93, and NH-101 by going through Rutland Vermont, White River Junction Vermont, Lebanon New Hampshire, Concord New Hampshire, Manchester New Hampshire, and Portsmouth New Hampshire, and neither does via NY-7, VT-279, NH-9, NH-101, and short sections of I-93, serving Bennington Vermont, Brattleboro Vermont, Keene New Hampshire, Manchester New Hampshire, Exeter New Hampshire, and Portsmouth New Hampshire.

When the interstate highway system was developed back in 1956, the NY 2 / MA 2 corridor was considered for the placement of an interstate highway. The reason it was not chosen was because of the mountains and steep hills. Look at MA 2 at the hairpin curve in North Adams and Clarksburg. The current highway does not handle truck traffic very well. If an interstate were to be built to replace this segment, the placement of the highway would be a problem. The current freeway portions of MA 2 have problems. There is an underpass with a low clearance in Templeton, the Fitchburg stretch would need some reconstruction, and the portion from where MA 111 becomes concurrent with MA 2 to I-95 / MA 128 would need to be upgraded.

I-51 is a great idea because I don’t know why Arkansas doesn’t have a full southeast interstate. I think it should go through Jackson and then to either Mobile or Pensacola because that’s the route most people will take to get to Florida

Like to see I-51 to connect from I-70 in Columbia Missouri to Jackson Mississippi, via Jefferson City Missouri and Little Rock Arkansas. Jefferson City is the largest Capitol City with a population of 43,000 people and making the largest Capitol City without an interstate highway.

@@GeographyMadeSimple-ry6fb I-170 has been used in St. Louis, it could be either I-370 or I-570 which connect from I-70 in Columbia or Kingdom City (Fulton) to Jefferson City.

I think that Jefferson City, Missouri’s State Capitol do need an interstate highway, and it could be I-51 which connect from Des Moines Iowa to Conway (Little Rock) Arkansas. I-570 is a good idea with a population of 44,700.

You left out an interstate that Ibelieve would completely transform SW Virginia and eastern Kentucky. That would be extending I-26, which starts in Charleston SC and goes up through SC & through the Asheville, NC area, up into Tennessee where it goes through Johnson City and ends in Kingsport, TN. There are no official plans to extend I-26 north of Kingsport, which is a shame because wherever there's an interstate, the communities along the interstate end up prospering. Considering that eastern Kentucky is one of the poorest areas in the nation, an interstate would benefit those communities.

One idea I thought of is to extend I-71 from its end in Louisville, KY to where it connects to I-69 in Kentucky. Once that’s connected it can open up regions of the south to states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts as I-71 dead ends into I-90 in Cleveland or you can use I-271 to go around downtown Cleveland to hit I-90 there.

@@GeographyMadeSimple-ry6fb Thanks, as I think about this more I realize this extension may have more to offer than a connection to I-90 and the New England states. It would link I-69 to I-65 providing Northern access to Indianapolis and Gary, Indiana-Close to Chicago. They could also access I-64 heading east towards Charleston W.VA and Virginia Beach, among others. I-69 travelers taking I-71 would have a link to I-70 granting them access to Wheeling, W.VA, Pittsburgh, PA, Baltimore, MD and Washington DC. Or as close to the latter two that I-70 can get as it ends at an outer belt. I-69 travelers could take I-71 to access I-76 taking them to Philadelphia and Atlantic City. They could also access I-80, if they don’t mind paying some Ohio tolls going through long way PA into New Jersey to I-95, and New York City. Now the big question. How would this I-71 extension be done? Well, some of it already has been, unofficially. Around Louisville is an outer-outer belt called I-265. The Gene Snyder freeway. Truckers and other drivers use it as a people mover to get around Louisville traffic. It officially starts at I-71 just outside Louisville and ends at I-65 also outside Louisville. There are also unofficial strips stretching into Indiana. But where I-265 ends at I-65 the freeway continues on as KY-841 for a few more miles. I figure I-71 would continue to its original end at I-65 then join I-65 going south to where it hits the Snyder. I-71 would take over the designation of KY-841 until it hits US-60 where it goes into double lanes. I figure the I-71 extension could run across US-60. Even joining it once or twice. A strip or two might even cross into Indiana giving I-71 a third state to enter leaving US-60 still in play at some sections. Think I-86 in New York where a strip of it briefly enters Pennsylvania also giving it an exit. If extended I-71 enters Indiana a time or two drivers could also find an exit to enter Indiana. Extended I-71 would stop at the loop around Owensboro,KY where it looks like it loops around the small city. It would then pick up the Parkway road taking up the I-71 designation until it hit I-69, which would be where the extended I-71 would end. At least that’s what I’d do. But I don’t think Kentucky has any plans, or ideas, to extend I-71. Even if they have some parts already in place to do so. And would Indiana even want to take part, even with its investments in I-69? Still, it’s fun to dream. And maybe this gives you a new video idea.

I 995 would be designated I 87 probably because I 87 will go to Norfolk and then you could connect both 87s

I-98 from Grand Forks, North Dakota to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Begin East at I-29 and start I-98 currently US 2 is and go through Bemidji, Grand Rapids, MN and through Duluth-Superior. From there where US 53 is take a sharp temporary turn South from Superior to I-94 then follow that interstate all the way to Northwest Eau Claire where state highway 29 is at and use that all the way through Wausau and then to I-41 take that to state highway 172 south of Green Bay and ends at I-43. That would be a boost from northern Minnesota and central Wisconsin travelers.

@@denniscain7218 and create another I-86 from Rapid City to I-90 junction southward to Nebraska border to Chadron where US 20 is and then reshape 20 to interstate standards with six hours of nothingness until we get to Sioux City and interstate standards to south of Fort Dodge, Cedar Falls, Waterloo and where I-380 currently is at Cedar Rapids and the endpoint just west of Iowa City at I-80. Did one better. 😂

This will probably never happen, but I would like to see 1-72 extended all the way to I-70, either at Byers or Strasburg, CO. It would help alleviate traffic on I-80 and I-70. Also, driving a truck on U. S. 36 in Kansas and eastern Colorado can be pretty boring. On the other hand, I-72 probably won't go farther west than St. Joseph, MO. One of the counties in Missouri won't cooperate with the extension to St. Joseph.

I 995 has been needed for years. The east coast has one north to south main artery through an already overcrowded DC beltway, it makes no sense.

I think they should be future interstate which connect from Pueblo Colorado to Poplar Bluff Missouri, via Wichita Kansas. It could be either I-52 or I-58, but I have chosen I-58, since Kansas have US-50, US-54, and US-56, as well as Missouri does have US-50, US-54, US-56, US-60, and US-62 and they cannot use the duplicate numbers as of interstate numbers in the same state, and it will violate the AASHTO rules. Besides, we need more of the 50s category, other then I-55, I-57, and I-59 which serve some Midwestern and Southern States.

I dont get your routing of 11 from i-8 all the way down to nogales, if it’s gonna be concurrent with I-19 like in the google maps view, it kinda just defeats the purpose of I-19 since it’ll be signed the whole way with 11

Regarding I-995. You can actually use I-87 (from Raleigh NC) up toward Hampton Roads Virginia. Use the 1-995 Route and it will connect to the other I-87 in New York.

I believe the opposition for an interstate on the Delmarva Peninsula will be very high, especially south of Salisbury

@c.t.turner2123 In its current form, Yes. If there was an alternative to fix this (there are little options currently) Maybe they would reconsider. You may have to Follow 64/295/95 in Richmond and then connect Richmond to Salisbury. To do this, I-87 would follow I-664 (which would change to I-87) and then connect with I-64.

Your I-995 thru Delaware should be numbered 99. How I-99 ended up in Pennsylvania is a mystery to me.

You can thank the late Bud Shuster for I-99. Where your proposed I-995 is could be the extention of I-87 to connect the two current I-87s in NY and NC. As I have said in other forums, this will probably not happen, at least in our lifetimes.

Should add I-74 and I 73, 74 is done west of Cincinnati but they want it to go East of Cincinnati to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I 73 will go from the Canadian and Michigan border down 75 into Toledo then south into Columbus where it’ll meet up to 74 in Piketon Near Portsmouth Ohio, and will end at 74.
