Interstellar - Oratorio Suite

I do not claim ownership over any of the songs used, I merely spliced them together into a continuous suite that hits every theme in the movie's soundtrack with a unique structure. This is a rough cut from over a year ago, so if there's interest, I'll remake this so that it's smoother with better audio balance. Any other feedback is greatly appreciated!

Luke Ainsworth This is actually my only major project in film scores. The passion for the music gave me the motivation to take on something of this scale haha. I’ve thought about other film candidates that would deserve a similar treatment, but a lot of my ideas have already been done pretty well by others. If I did another film score, the Last Samurai is the most likely at this point

Primero felicidades por la recopilacion, buen trabajo, el mejor que he catado hasta la fecha Por otro lado leo con sorpresa las loas a esta composicion de Zimmer, es indudable que es una banda sonora maestra, es capaz de transmitir las emociones mas intensas que se producen durante la pelicula, particularmente genial es el fragmento en el que usa el tic tac del reloj para transmitir la relevancia y urgencia del momento y del tiempo transcurrido en el planeta de agua, bien, sublime, magnifico. Pero de ahi a considerarlo una obra maestra de la musica....revela una reflexion que surge de la preponderancia de la musica de ascensor sobre otra cualquiera musica en los oidos de muchas personas. El uso de simplisimos acordes, la aliteracion tematica y cromatica, la repeticion ad nauseam de tres, cuatro notas a lo sumo, es perfecta para su objetivo, es una pelicula, sobresaliente, ahi queda y ahi debe quedar,, posiblemente como la numero uno de su genero; la satisfaccion cuasi primitiva de los cerebros encandilados con esta musica hasta el extremo de proferir tamaña critica se debe sin duda a la asociación con la propia pelicula, todo muy racional, pero la musica es algo mas, tambien.

Something that has never been brought up is the role of silence in this soundtrack. The silence is a crutial part of how intensity is built in this soundtrack. Pay attention fellows.

I feel like this music just open my concious mind is trapped in sibconsious when i hear that. I have plans and i see things differently. I feel sadness for people and their behaviour. Nowadays its all about money, social medias, machines and where is fucking humanity. Where are the real human qualities. We call us that we are more then animals but we kill each other for money, being jealous, for making our demons have fun (murder by socioparh). Where is love, what does it even mean today. Girls go for money, boys go for these girls. Its not love, the definition changed: its all about comfort. We are lazy, cheating bastards. Just think about it. And thats what i feel when i hear this

so haunting! also around the 23 minute mark it sounds like the choral part of the movement Neptune from "The Planets" by Holst in the background. Was that in the original Zimmer score and I just missed it? It sounds brilliant there either way.

Oh wow, it does sound like Neptune, good observation! The track with the chorus is "Day One Dark", a bonus track outside the regular soundtrack. I think it's a demo track that might not have made it into the final score in that form.

sweetwater Nah, I had noticed a couple of mixing things that I caught on a friend’s stereo (my headphones I used to edit concealed them I guess?), but maybe it was just the stereo since it seems like no one felt a need to say anything. I wasn’t going to change anything, I would have just remade it exactly using all the audacity skills I had developed during the process. It would end up being a whole lot of work for not much difference haha. That or to get a better sound quality which KZbin loves to compress to oblivion haha
