TF2C Custom Weapons Are AMAZING! (TF2 Classic)

TF2C Custom Weapons are amazing! TF2 custom weapons are also a thing, but for this video we're sticking with Team Fortress 2 Classic custom weapons! There's so many custom weapons I haven't tried out yet so I decided to hop into a custom weapons server and give it a spin! There's a lot of strange and insane weapons, but that's what makes the mode so fun!
If you don't know what Team Fortress 2 Classic is, basically think of it like normal TF2, but aimed to be more like TF2 how it was when it released in 2007. Obviously that's not going to be the feel with custom weapons, but we're here for a good time, not a long time!

You were playing on a bhop server, holding space while moving allows you to bhop, I'm pretty sure there are custom weapon servers that don't have that bhop enabled, also you should play demoknight theres some fun weapon options, and shield charges are reworked to a leap instead.

Spy has some really good weapons like the Cutting Devotion and the Contract Killer. By the way, everyone is moving so quickly because bhop is enabled on this server. Just hold space and start air-strafing without holding W and you'll be zooming around in no time

the movement speed was a feature of TFC coming fresh and hot off the quake engine, no modifications like in its younger sibling TF2 or CSGO. so TF2C being tf2 from the tfc (quake) engine, youre able to B-hop and move around at incredible speed.

TFC is GoldSrc, not quite idTech 2 like Quake and the original Team Fortress.

@@TMCRGaming Yup. Many of the quirks trace back to idTech 2 like trimping (ramping off of a sloped surface with enough midair speed rather than running up it).

@@racer927 thats one of im sure many source spaghetti that came over from tfc engine. i often just refer to source engines by their game, personally. its easier than tryna figure out what gmae used what engine. grenades in cs dont bounce like they do in tf and vice versa, fire doesnt work like it does in tf as it does in cs, etc etc etc

Could you Play Pyro Knight? I made a subclass called pyro knight, basically its pyro with the thermal thruster, the speed scythe and whatever shotgun you want, you mainly stay on the melee though

I know exactly what server you were playing on by the way Interstellis. And all I have to say is... Hold space bar and strafe side to side in a sort of zig zag pattern if you wanna do that crazy speed stuff the others are doing. Which is to say, bhopping is enabled by default on that server. Makes for rather unfun moments if spies who can actually hit near impossible backstabs at such speeds get on.. I will admit, it's quite a bleh feature to have on a custom weapons server... Which is why I personally kinda wish sometimes it weren't there. But at the same time, it makes rolling out to the frontlines all the much quicker. Still have to suffer respawn times though. But if you can strafe good enough to gain speed from bhopping, such isn't too big a deal.

As much as I love these custom weapons, bhop breaks a good few of them for me. You'll most likely see a Spy top-scoring with this sword/speed watch combo or a Heavy with a Minigun that lets them fly around super fast, lmao.

You were playing on wonderland, i wouldnt recommend you to do it, overall is a lesser experience, there is bigger amount of players, the original custom's weapons creators said that they didnt made the mod balanced against such a high player counts, some of the weapon plugins werent probably ported, the balanced is more messy(since it runs a old version of the server), bhop makes weapons like the cerberus frustrating, and overall, i would recommend you to try the Kocw servers, front the original creators of the weapons pack.

I was the ninjaneer in the begining of the video. I was using engineers jetpack with items that gave me more metal capacity so I could throw up sneaky teleporters. Glad to see more attention coming to tf2 classic. You should try holding the space bar and strafing whenever youre playing on wonderland servers. Thats how I was reaching such high speeds.

the anti-aircraft cannon and RPG arent even custom weapons guns. its just a base TF2C weapon. also that movement speed stuff that demon did was B-hopping and its disabled on pretty much every sever except the wonderland server.
