Why is nozzle separate from the lower plate? The assembly would be better if the nozzle and the plate were one piece.

Depending on the application, you may need to change the collector nozzle after every single heat. It is not always advantageous to have the sliding plate and the collector nozzle in one piece (consider the weight as well).
