As Bob Marley said, there is a right way of listening and a wrong way. For all these people that speak against Bob have no idea who he was and what he was about. He was a great man.

he was one week away from his LAST concert and 9 months from his death (which was 30 years ago today). it's sad to watch how weak he is here in the interview. got so much respect for his message and personal respect. people can disagree about this and that and the other thing, but his music lives on everywhere. much love.

This interview was straight after his concert at JB Hynes Auditorium, Boston on September 16 a week before his last ever at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh on September 23, 1980. Marley afterwards sought medical help from Munich specialist Josef Issels, but his cancer had already progressed to the terminal stage. We all return to Jah. Just hope he didn't suffer. Long live his memory and his message.

-the thing that gets me about Bob Marley is that he was a "Star".. and yet completely, 100% down-to-earth... both, at the same time... that's a quality only he, had... I don't think I've seen his level of natural humility.. ever... in any other "Star"

You're right BigWill ... Bob used the Sacred Herb for meditation, inspiration & upliftment every day since he's a teenager. But the cancer spread and then drag him down. He was tired & sick. Even so, he did the concerts & the interviews, keeping on until his body broke down. Here, he just did a concert. He's away from home, traveling, living in bus & hotel, rehearsing, setting up, singing & dancing, and then show up for interview. When he probably would rather just go home or hotel.

March 10 2024. They have. You were prescient. Movie - Bob Marley: One Love There are also many documentaries prior to this 2024 movie that are well worth watching. Just remember the movie is a movie w some creative license and artistic liberty. Some people are critiquing the movie for being a movie, not understanding that it is NOT a documentary. Kingsley Ben-Adir plays Bob, Lasagna Lynch plays Rita. Both give OSCAR/ACADEMY AWARD WINNING performances in the movie.
