Caspar's mother is an exceptional lady for having said those words to her son when he so desperately needed them. That is the kind of thing that can either make you or break you at pivot points in your life. Free souls in that family, including Caspar's father, Peter.

Selbst wenn der juppieske Journalist ein anderer Jahrgang ist, der gar nicht mal blöde Fragen stellt, sind FM Einheit und Caspar Brötzmann - offen und ehrlich.

No way are these gents wasted. Oh, hey Caspar, want a cigarette? ;) But seriously, I'm not criticizing, It was summertime, they're having a good time; a great interview. Lots of quite genius stuff they're saying. And FM Einheit really dropped the bomb a few times here, saying people don't value music anymore and "ship has sailed for music". Direct, but unfortunately true. And no wonder people don't value new music that highly, as it's just a corporate product these days and pretty much as interesting and exciting as a pair of new socks. Overly compressed product with a model looking girls and guys singing about sex. Oh well hey, how original. As exciting, new and original as it was back in the 90s.

that's a very interesting perspective. there are always talks about music genres that rot and degrade, but it always seemed natural. and knowing how greedy those people are, there's no wonder they kill music by abusing the hell out of it for money. they work so hard on spreading shitty music that actual music gets lost, missed, and forgotten. Neubauten started as a project that willingly goes directly against this, and their live stuff in mid 80's was an incredible example. that's when the volcanoes were active, and that's when the magic was with them. now how you you kill this magic? I don't know. maybe others do it for you?
