My first personal experience of CJ (other than being a fanboy with his posters on my wall) was at the bar in the Leadmill in Sheffield & CJ with The Jelly's supporting Silver Ginger 5, I think. Without any prompting, CJ turned to me like "How's it going mate, love your shirt..." Lovely fella!

I remember my chef mate Andy telling me about you rocking up at his gaff in York with a bunch of Carolina reaper chillis that he'd grown. We did a "reaper challenge" at work, eating a piece of CJ's dried chillies. I was fine, tongue went a bit numb. Two other chefs were crying & rubbing milk in their eyes...😂
