I remember watching this when it was first aired on BBC2. The bit where he said that he always went back to live with his Nan up to the age of 21 because he ‘loved her so much’ always stayed with me.

I met Mick Jones when he was in Big Audio Dynamite. During the concert I was mouthing to him 'Can I have your cap' . Then managed to get backstage, met the band & Mick said You managed to get the cap because he threw it towards me but other people jumped for it. No chance. I asked for it & wasn't going to let anyone else grab it. What a lovely guy & I was over the moon as you can imagine. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to meet the band, get autographs & have his cap. What a terrific gig that was. 😊

@bazarboy75 Thanks. It had to be in the 80's sometime. I was only a youngster & now I'm 58 so I can't really remember damn it sorry.

Topper Never left the Clash, like Mick he got the sack because topper had a smack habit. met Topper in London when he was a taxi driver....really down to earth 🌎 gezzer.
