Joblo's very own Chris Bumbray got to sit down for an interview with legendary actor Don Johnson to talk about his new film, A Little White Lie, co-starring Michael Shannon and Kate Hudson, including the fact that it was shot at the beginning of the pandemic, as well as his legendary career. In this amazing interview, Johnson opens up about shooting Dead Bang with the great John Frankenheimer, doing probably the only vomiting scene in an action movie, partying with Gregg Allman, Hunter S. Thompson and much more. Plus, he teases his upcoming action flick, Rebel Ridge, directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room).

Are you associated with Hollywood? How do these YT channels get interviews with big stars? Love it when we can see the actor dressed down and just being how they are when they're not dressed up and being Hollywood. Great interview

I worked in a film theater when DEAD BANG came out... and loved to listen to crowd reaction when Don throws up! Very fun! Great interview! There's one episode of Miami Vice where Crockett shoots a kid. Mr. Johnson's acting is top end!!! So underrated as a leading man actor!

Thanks for asking about Dead Bang, saw it at the cinema back in the day and it blew me away, watched it so many times since I know it off by heart and I foist it on everybody that sits still too long in my house. Such an underrated classic with so many stand out moments, especially given the comparable fare out there at the time. It’s criminal it’s not more widely known and appreciated, with Don, as usual, effortlessly weaving real and natural humour into the drama

Thank you so much ! I enjoyed these minutes to hell. Rarely seen such a normal, relaxed and though meaningful interview with Don since long. There are so much from the very past up to now but just yet I had the feeling I watched kind a like honesty. Great to catch him at his home office, that changed a very lot. Brilliant !! 🤗👏👏👍

Dead Bang, yes a very good movie. I thought the ending was good, too. John Frankenheimer was incredible, too. The Manchurian Candidate, Seven Days in May and Seconds are films of his I remember most. The last one is really ahead of its time.

I always have to tell other fans that he was underpaid doing MIAMI VICE . Yeah his contract got him a few million BUT he couldn't do the action movie DIE HARD . Bruce Willis got the franchise because Don Johnson was stuck doing VICE almost a whole year of shooting when actors usually get the summers off .

Because in all the interviews he doesn't talk about Philip Michael Thomas who worked with him on Miami Vice... Philip disappeared, nobody knows, nobody saw him.
