I am Spanish. I am not rich, but I spent my money to see Rasputin at the Palladium with my wife, couse I love Polunin and his company, and it was absolutely worth it, extraordinary. The audience loved it, and they show it with and astonish standing obation. I do not know what critics are talking about or thinking of. Non the less, in Spain we love you Polunin and we are looking forward to be delighted by your art at the Royal Theatre in Madrid. I wish you all the best.

Those of us who have eyes to see know this. Keep going. I love what you said about dance being a language we have not fully explored yet. And you can only crush yourself that is true! Huge kudos to you. Xx

Thank you so much for posting this interview! Completely enjoyed listening to Sergei talk about his life & work. Wasnt aware there was so much action against him! How strange. Such astonishing talent & brilliance. I dont think it matters what his politiks are. I dont see it compromising his art, but outside reaction does seem to make it much harder for him. "No one can crush you but yourself!" Thank you Sergei!

That is Sergei... and since I discovered him I somehow I feel less alone and feel more courage to speak up about how I really feel, no more hiding behind political correctness and being polite. I am a naturally outspoken person who has been hiding long enough behind fear. Спасибо Сергей x

In a nutshell Sergei ..... “You are REMARKABLE!” You have remained true to yourself .... by following your heart 💛 ... and in my opinion you never wished to hurt anyone by doing so ... you did not ask or deserve the bad boy label. You just wished to grow artistically and you have done just that. 2019 has been an astounding success for you with the excellent Premieres of both - RASPUTIN in Moscow and London .... & then ROMEO & GIULIETTA at a sold out Arena di Verona in Italy 😲🤭 And with all this success you remain humble. BRAVO .... much respect to you .... 👏💛🌟✨

Sergei we are watching you and giving you all the support you deserve and the “ H..... “ with politics. I love watching Sergey dance and his passion and you can see how much of that passion he puts into his dancing. But, when he dances with his shirt off and you can see his tattoo of Putin, people can't help but make out their own opinion that is aside from his dancing. It's not about covering up or pretending you don't have that tattoo, Sergey is putting out his own side of politics out there. Art should not have an interruption or distraction from politics nor should it have sides. Maybe that is what is ALSO pulling him down in U.K.
@influencer87574 жыл бұрын
an artist is not doing 'just art' for the sake of art. . but an artist is a special, especially gifted person, _and the most important thing_: an artist has is a special ability to think. What nobody knows (as you describe it yourself here), but an artist has a life task... this is not to place a perfect jump (as most people may think). But an artist has the task to think about and for human society, and to show the result of their analysis and possibly ways out of dilemmas, with the means of their art, with jumps, with movements, with paintings, with pieces of music...

I find it tragic that Polunin was trained all his life for an art that by definition is very restrictive. Classical ballet is beautiful but is also very academic and has very set rules. And now that he has reached perfection in that art he wants to be free of it. Is like wanting to be free of what you are good at. Very difficult position. Is like fighting against yourself. Wish him all the luck. He's very talented and courageous. And he is against agendas in the media. Good. But this interviewer also has an agenda. Polunin can be a bit naive. His intentions are the best but he should be aware that many want to take political advantage of him.
