Helo Muhayyo! As I was conducting the interview with my second chosen host university interviewers, I saw the professor who had contacted, interviewed, and given me a letter of preliminary acceptance letter to supervise me as one of the interviewers. As I was explaining myself in the middle of the interview, internet access interrupted me. In fact, I joined them again as they were interviewing others and begged them to interview me even at the end. However, I was told that I had finished my interview and no need to log in again. Does this mean that I won't be accepted by my second chosen university? (Fortunately, I have been told that I am accepted by my first chosen university).

Hey, you have already had the acceptance letter from he first university, and it is more important than your second choice, even if they do not accept you for the second it is more than fine, why do you need two offers if you can accept only one?)))

Usually the interview is pre recorded...it means that you have many days to attend your interview. And you Only have to ans 5 questions Which are mention in the applicants portal....

I had the interview at Uni of Pecs for my Phd in architecture but i dont know if it was good or not because they were a bit sceptical about my research proposal. Hey, it’s fine, it was my case also, I do not think any committee will like the research proposal 100%, because it’s just a draft of what you are going to work on. So I think there is still a chance that you will get the scholarship, be positive :) and even if not it is possible to apply of course next year)

No, there were not any points in my scholarship contract on returning home.

Hey, thanks a lot for the heads-up, I have an interview this week. Just to seek some clarity from you. I have edited my proposal objectives with my supervisors after submitting the draft to the committee. How do I go about it in the interview

I do not think there will be so through questions on the objectives of the research proposal, because usually they want to know general information on your topic and scientific justification of your choice. But if they ask about objectives of course mention the recent ones, the updated ones.

Hi, thanks for sharing. One question how is the process of presenting the E admission exam? I already have a user and password, however I don't see any options of e admission exam, just sample test, also in the guide for e admission it says that we have to upload and scanned image of our ID card, but where?

Hello. The button may appear on the day of exam, but just to be sure, please contact the university and ask about this issue.

Here I finished the interview right now. I saw delighted faces from the interviewers and they told me that your English is excellent. I want to thank you very much for your advice. Let me tell you one input for the next one, the interviewer asked me if I can speak another language than English. I told him no, but it was better to say thank you in Hungarian language at least when I finished the interview.

Thank you for your feedback! The questions are common: Tell me about yourself? Why do you want to study at our university or in Hungary? Why have you chosen this program? Why are you a good candidate? If you are in Master and PhD, they may ask about your future research proposal, methods, motivation. There can be questions on your specialization - Economics, Law, Medicine and etc.

I’ve applied to first University of Pécs and as second choice to BME. I’ve got notified by BME that I will have an entrance exam on a specific date but I still haven’t received any from Pécs for interview.. I am still waiting but I am worried by the time.. When do they call for an interview? Does this mean I am not selected to Pécs and that is why I am called for an entrance exam for BME?

If you are not accepted for any of universities, it will be seen in your application portal. There is still time for calling you for interviews, so maybe BME will contact you later

Hello, it depends on universities, I applied also for Corvinus University and University Szeged. My interviews were April 7 and 13 and I got positive answers by 24 and 26 of April.

I am not sure which university you are applying for, but in most cases the oral exam is the interview where they can ask additional questions on your specialization and program. If there is somehing in the website, of course, read them and prepare answers for all of the available questions

I was nominated by my sending partner for my phD application and got a supervisor preliminary acceptance email letter from my 2nd university choice and the department head of my 1st choice university sent me a letter of willingness and will assign a supervisor if I can succeed. what is the next thing?

You have to wait for the university itself to contact you for the interview. First, the universities of your choice will review your application then if your candidacy attractive enough, you will be invited for the interview.

Thank you! One more question. As I was applying on my application. I took last year documents. Infact my educational documents are taken as they are but I have written a new research area of interest but as I see it on my general application overview the previous research interest is written together with my new one. Am I able to discard the previous one before it is sent to the universities?

Hello, no, each university has their own process, and it’s separately from each other, so if they accept your documents and you seem promising candidate, they will invite you for the interview. You can be accepted for both universities and then you can choose which one you want.

Unfortunately, the universities will not review your application until you are nominated by your home country so therefore there is not any chance of getting to interview stage.

Your answers in the interview should be consistent to what you have written in your motivation letter when applying, and your motivation letter should be "real" I would say and it should not sound fantastic such as "I want to become the president of my country after I finish your university". Hello! You can but it is not desirable. The interview is online and when you look all the time to somewhere else rather than to the camera, the committee will think you are just reading from somewhere. It is better to prepare answers in advance and even to some extent learn some by heart. At least as a member of committee I did not feel good when students were reading or looking somewhere else while talking to me and there was a case

Hello! You will be interviewed only by the university of your choice, they will send you a conditional offer if you are successful and then the results of the interview will be sent to Stipendium Hungaricum and they will have the final decision on the scholarship.

In most cases, the entrance exam is the interview where they can ask you questions regarding your major too. But if you want to be 100% sure, you can always send email to university and clarify the type of the exam

Hello! There is no age limit on Master and PhD but there is for Bachelor you should be 18 or over while applying. But if you are under 18 you can provide a notarised note from your parents to support your application
