I love how eccentric Jeff Buckley is. You can clearly tell he was a true artist by his body language. Notice how he talks to himself, has nervous ticks, and looks around. To me that shows how wrapped up in his music he was. Truly a great artist.

I think he was scared to release a new album, in fear of how harshly the media can turn someone's life completely around. Going from angelic like Grace, to possibly the worst review ever. He was super sensitive and always wanted to be completely understood through his words. I'm the exact same way.. And the anxiety it brings along is awful. He's resting peacefully now, with his legacy left as grace.

+mark ferlisi First time I've ever seen an interview by Jeff Buckley---I love the remarkable Grace, and his other compilation Sketches From My Sweetheart The Drunk---it has such a range of different tunes on there--it's worth getting just for all that alone. He definitely seemed odd and nervous here, but that's what make this such an interesting interview---it's not your typical Q&A, which is refreshing. He also did that great transcendent version of a Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah" which is by itself worth getting Grace for (that and the incredible title track,which I used to play to death because I loved it so much.
@22markski228 жыл бұрын
+rainmaker690 I completely agree. It's almost poetic, how he handles himself. I always work on not worrying so much, and nothing eases my mind more, than Jeff Buckley. It's ironic, but the music of an odd/nervous guy, is what helps everyone else relax. I know what you mean, nobody covers a song quite like Buckley.
