Amazing performance by Oliver Masucci. I had never heard of this movie, saw it available on Netflix and took a chance. It had me from the first scene where Hitler is lamenting to an interviewer how people don't do the full Nazi salute anymore. It's hilarious. This movie is funny, then fascinating, then dead serious. I can't remember seeing any movie like it.

I've just watched it, on the one hand it's hilarious like you said, but on the other hand it frightens me of my fellow german citizens.

Buzz Music Fear of what? Germans lost unforunately as Hitler granted you and Empire of culture, discipline and order. It didn't have to come to and end.

Precisely, this film shows that the Germans are CRYING for a leader to pull them out of their spritual decline.

@@chancellorpalpatine3414 No, what shall people (Germans, migrants, tourists etc.) do there? Killing the actor? But it's the same as with the Boran films. And decades of Volkspädagogik take its toll. When I was in school (70s) truth was the most important thing. Media, school, politicians couldn't just make up history arbitrarily. Millions of people were yet alive (of whatever political affiliations) who experienced the Nazi rule and WW2. There was no scope for lies. Then came Volkspädagogik. Faking history if it's good for an allegedly higher moral object. That's just the backlash!

I had to watch this twice. The first time? My jaw dropped! I was in shock they were allowed to make this. The second time? I laughed my head off...until the end, then I felt a chill in my spine.

This film is highly recommendable. It starts funny, but it becomes deeper, and a chilling ending. All the actors also performed excellently.

It's good he doesn't look like Hitler in real life, could be awkward. But his portrayal was perfect.

Excellent made film👍 Satire, comedy, and then.. you scratch your head, you know. A very under rated movie imo. And the book was great too.

The subject of the interview seemed to bore out the camereman so he decided to add a little drama through shaking the camera.
