Another fun period piece is "Babylon Berlin". A German production on NF that also gives a lot of historical subplot from about the same period.

Considering how crucial Ireland is to him I think more people should watch cillian's performance in The Wind that shakes the Barley where he gives incredible justice to his character set in the Ireland of 1920s. It's such an underrated part of his filmography

What a man. Such a light soul. I've been really curious to see an interview just like that - with Cillian in his dwelling place, in Ireland. I feel like in this interview we get to see him at his most vulnerable, yet it doesn't feel like that at all, instead, it feels super welcoming and warm and homely. Him taking a walk on the beach where he used to rehearse his role for Oppenheimer in front feels particularly special - like a glimpse into his place of power. Such a great interview and it made me really connect with Cillian as if I was his private guest and a close friend, thank you very much!

And I'm with Cillian when he says he thinks the term "movie star" is a term for other people, because he doesn't really do the whole "movie star thing" and make lots of public appearances out shopping and dining in Hollywood.
