He is an absolutely top fella. He’s only a little guy but he has a massive presence on stage. I saw him come on as a special guest at a fund-raiser in Glasgow for an old do friend of his and we didn’t know he would be there. When he walked on stage (and there were already some famous people on there) i swear the air in the room changed and it was all about love and respect that he would come back to his hometown to do this for his old friend. He played a couple of his hits (he is an excellent guitarist and singer) and then stayed on to play guitar in the band for the rest of the acts. Top class man.

Oh wow, Midge Ure, what a friendly man, great artist. I have all Ultravox and Midge Ure solo albums. A re-release of 1985 The Gift album is coming this month, looking forward to this.

I have always loved Ultravox and always will. Midge was a singularly powerful voice and brilliant song writer. It just makes me sad for some reason to see him looking so elderly. I really can’t even recognize him. It just scares me about myself aging. I don’t like it.
