The talk was fine,but I would prefer seeing more of a Console's action....

I just wrote the same.. All their videos have this issue.

Are the thumbs down votes for the price? There are cheaper consoles out there, you're not forced to buy this. It won't be a Neve because you just can't get those parts for the budget price points. I've known some people that have rebuilt high end boards and it's really expensive and takes a ton of time.

You are very right. Bloor-Edwards still do the combi switch/rotary control stack for the 1073/84 EQ - you're looking at well over £600 in hardware, per channel, just for the input and EQ system, with the controls, transformers and inductors, never mind the rest of the unit. Then a large part of it has to be hand built it has to be hand built.

Is that one of the J37 tape machines from Abbey Road in the background?
@stevebass83523 жыл бұрын
No, it's not just 'one of them'. He says it is THE 4 track J37 used to record Sgt Pepper. Odd ..as I understand it they bounced down between machines, so there could be more than one. Maybe they went to 2 track and back to the 4...

Do these mixers use classic neve inductor e.q ?
@profpep2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 1073 and 1084 both have inductor based EQ

Yeah sure...Peter Gabriel owns SSL but owns one of these in his personal studio. What does that tell us? :-)
@scottbaxendale3233 жыл бұрын
It tells you that as versatile as a SSL console is for mixing a record the BCM Neve is far a superior sound for tracking a source.

James I still love your channel. I guess I’m just a loud American ass, but sometimes you should just say fuck it. Peter Gabriel is awesome, but I honestly couldn’t give a fuck.

Great videos, but one suggestion, please. Face the Camera's on the equipment more than your mugs. It's just annoying somebody talking about something and it's not visible to the viewer. I do not watch your videos to watch you talk about the gear. I want to watch the gear being shown and talked about. Big difference there. Great conversations, but the camera is looking at awkward side angels and front mug shot views. I say, take the camera from behind the desk and move it behind you and bring it in focus onto the equipment from there. There is loads of room behind you guys talking. I also feel, there are very few others or none working on this as you talk, thus the static camera shots. Well, that needs to change if you are going to be effective. The objectives of your videos are seriously lost in your delivery. Period. Great potential but more thought needs to be put into the > Why do we do this?
