Liking this video solely on the mic choice 😂 before being a videographer, I was a musician and sound guy and my mic of choice was ALWAYS a Sennheiser

Sound is one of the most underrated gear investment. Everyone worries about camera sensors and frame rates but a great mic will add so much more production value to your projects. I am now a Sennheiser guy moving forward!

Use a sandbag to hold the door open. Dope video man! I have a couple of those slr magics they have a nice character .

Great idea! I have a bunch of sandbags and keep forgetting them in the truck lol. Question: do you find the SLR magic lens to be a bit soft?

@@Stolishadji I have the 25 1.5 & 50 1.2 and run them on a fs5ii/shogun. I think the 25 gets softer past 2.8ish and even starts to look wonky at times. Depends on the light. But I can get some sharp images I think around f4. The 50 stays sharper at the wider stops I think. Running the 50 wide open at night gets some nice footage. I prefer the 50 over the 25. Tube light glares look terrible on them. But for the price they’re a great purchase.

Great vlog Stolis! Just came across your channel, love seeing how a freelancer makes it in NY. That setup was very clean and now you got me looking at a directors monitor

I literally have my bh cart open right now to purchase a large monitor for an upcoming shoot. Currently looking at megamon 15 (it’s on sale for $720) but it doesn’t have the multi view like yours! Would you recommend it?
@Stolishadji5 ай бұрын
@@davidmorefield I recommend it but I had to rig the monitor with a hdmi splitter that has the multi view. It’s cheap on Amazon. It’s a cheap workaround to spending a few extra hundred for that feature.

I’m about to be doing this a lot (the one-man band thing) so your videos are helpful. Keep them coming.

Thanks man! Glad I could help! Good luck!

You might be able to plug in some dummy hdmi plugs into your hdmi splitter to get rid of those color bars for input 3 and 4 Also, i didnt see you recording on the Ninja but if you do make sure you interpret the ninja footage in davinci as a full signal and not video so the dynamic range doesnt get crushed What conversation lut did you use? That looks pretty contrasty
