“When the opportunity arose, I was excited to be part of making a great program even better,” said David Morgan, who was recently appointed as the new Executive Director of the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP).
The 21 years Dave spent as a NEIEP classroom instructor- along with the experience he gained working as an elevator mechanic, a Business Agent/Financial Secretary and Business Manager, a National Coordinator for the Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund, a National Organizer for the International Union of Elevator Constructors, and an International Vice President - have helped him gain a thorough understanding of the most pressing educational needs of today’s elevator industry and identify strategies to meet them.
Among his priorities? To start with, modernizing classrooms across the United States, improving the program’s website, and incorporating the latest VR technology into the national curriculum. “I’m most excited about bringing the NEIEP program to the next level,” he says. “Today, it is a great program. With some help and dedication from the staff, tomorrow, NEIEP will be extraordinary.”
