Best informative BB video I've seen YET.....PERIOD. I stumbled upon the original BB and have been trying to see the differences in the other Xotic pedals and this showed me the best side by side comparison to date. Thank you for the education.

4:15 The middle toggle position on the BB comp is not "an inbetween" compression as the presenter implies. The middle position is a "no compression" mode, which is why it also has louder output. 4:34 He says "definitely a bit more compression" but that would be compression from the amp which is not clean.

Nice demo, however it seems to me that he is wrong when talking about the BB Comp. At about 4:35 he says that the middle position is more compressed. I don't think so. This is also what is understood by reading xotic comp little manual. See also another comment by user 3PH.

Right now I'm running my orange BB into a compressor before a distortion pedal (or amp distortion). Gives me a lot of sustain and adds a lot of beef to the tone. I can also turn off the compressor for a rawer sound if I want.

The comp version with a mid boost would have all the advantages of each one.

dave didn't inform us, that he is also using the ep booster on his signal~ this pedal will also add mid range to all the demo's! not nit picking here, just pointing out something that is well, pretty important when demoing various particular tones!!!!!

04:35 I think the graphics are screwed up when he talks about the comp settings on the BBP-Comp. He says "...and let's go to this middle setting", plays, and concludes that that setting has more compression? The middle should be uncompressed. Stupid decision to make a pedal demo with an overdriven amp.

most player's that demo the bb thier amps are never REALLY clean. Because that's the only way the bb sounds ok.

Ok if you know what a bb sounds like already this is good. But if you don't you may think bb is something that sounds real bad. There are different types of review I guess.

I own bb and custom mb. You have to compare or listen to it in live situation/shop because this video's sound is awful. In real life this pedals are much much better. General advantage of Xotic BB don't affect real tone of guitar like boss pedals

You are talking too much between the pedals... This does not help the comparison at all. Just play one, stop, try the next one and so on and so forth. You don't have to explain for 5 minutes for each pedals really, people can read the info online if they want to. You have this problem with almost all your comparison videos. OR if you really need to explain stuff, you can do so beforehand. Just let the playing and shootout speak for itself!

Classix1969 it's more compressed, and thus quieter. Not sure what they did, though if I had to guess, the clipping diodes in the regular BB might be an LED, and thus louder. The BB AT might be using silicon diodes, which are quieter.
