Few question recommendations about the next interview: 1. Ask more questions about the outcomes. a) how much people averagely lenghten femur/tibia b) what is the recovety time for each segment 2. Ask about the complications a) what percentage of surgeries have complications b) how much of it is temporary/permanent c) long term effects like arthritus, numbness, etc. 3. Ask about the new bone a) in percentage how much weaker it it than the real god given bone b) do preople get fractures/breaks when they push the limmits in the gym/sports 4. At which leinghts do commplications start to ocur? a) a guy that's 5'3 is safe to lenghten 3cm tib 5 cm fem a guy thats 5'9 might lenghten 4.5cm tib 8cm fem etc... b)how much fisiotherapy is needed post consolidation I know that these doctors are big shots and you want them to come for interviews but this one was tooooooo much of a softball when it came to questions.

Great video! If you could get an interview with dr. Betz, I’d be awesome! From what if read and seen, there has been a lot of discussion about him, and some think he’s controversial - and some think he’s fantastic. It could be cool if you could debunk some of the misconceptions about him, and why people have those about him in the first place💪🏻

Cyborg 4 Life One topic could definitely be the amount of lengthening he does - for instance, he lengthens the femur up to 12 cm, which most doctors don’t recommend. Another topic could be about this nail, the “betzbone”.

It took you about 6-8 months to run and about a year to go back to your activity- lifting. If you had lengthened both legs instead, how long do you think would it take you?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Same time. I was just waiting for the bone to fully consolidate and regain muscle strength etc. I just would've done both legs rehab instead of one.

@serigotskrila67124 жыл бұрын
what about gaining 5'' how long will it take to recover then?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
Well you would do it one surgery at a time so something like 5 months for say 3 inches on femurs and 5 months for 2 inches on tibiae so about 10 months so about 1 year plus rehab and build up about 1.5 years I'd say is a good estimate

Hello i did femur lenghtening with lon method and intramodollary nail . Now i am week after the remove of external fixator . I have tow questions 1 when the the stiffness of knee joint relif ? 2 i have constent pain in the knees that cant make me sleep at night and doring the day . Will it go and when ?
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
First off congratulations on making it through your LON femur lengthening! The knee stiffness will linger for a bit of time but you need to be sure you're staying on top of your physical therapy rigorously as it will help get blood and nutrients to facilitate better knee motion. That goes for the pain too. PT will hurt when being done but the next day it gets easier and the next etc. So I'd say expect about 2-3 weeks until you notice a big drop off since you just got the external removed. Also nutrition is very important for healing the soft tissue so lean proteins and vitamins from dark green vegetables are key!

idk man limb lengthening again? Aren't you concerned about the potential nerve or muscle damage it can create? I mean with the right doctor it can be possible and have great results but what about the future? Say in 30-40 years what will the ROM and overall physical abilities be like?

Would be pretty interesting if you got LL done again. Does getting half the length on the tibia and the other half on the femur lower the chances of complications such as nerve damage? I know it would be more expensive but would it be effective in minimizing severe muscle stretching? Great vid tho
@Cyborg4Life4 жыл бұрын
It's possible risk would be less so long as the lengths are equal it won't matter. I know after I was hit by a car at age 9, the monolateral external fixator caused a slight height increase in my right femur. So when I got an internal precice on my tibia done my doc lengthened enough to balance the hips which is the goal in LL as that's where most weight distribution takes place.

This is an extremely invasive surgery with a multitude of risks. Please only consider it if medically necessary. This surgery is only completely successful 4 out of 10 times. The risk of life long pain and discomfort from this surgery is very high. It’s not worth the hefty price tag, the months of pain, and the very likely life long side effects. Some of the long term effects of this surgery are joint stiffness, skin pain, soft tissue tightness, increased risk for bone breaks or fractures. Your nerves are stretched in this procedure and they literally break your bones, it’s possible to suffer from nerve damage after this. This surgery is fraught with complications. Before considering this, instead of speaking to a biased doctor, please do your research online or speak with your family doctor.
