I wish I could meet Eric Faulkner. He was the dream of my teenage life, and now we are all old! I was an abused kid and my inner life was the best thing I had going for me! Thanks for being you, ERIC!

Met him, he now lives very near me, came into where i work often..hes such a really nice down to earth guy! Didn't realise it was him to start with, and he never made himself out to be someone famous just was one of our town, but one day he smiled, those eyes twinkled and it was a light bulb moment, (I'm from the rollers era, 😂), so I googled him!..but respected him enough to leave him in peace!..just a really nice guy x

Hearing the recent sad news of Ian's passing a few days ago on September 2, 2020, had me reminiscing about my first loves, The Bay City Rollers. Eric was my first real crush/love and always will be even now that I'm 58. That beautiful dark hair and those dreamy blue eyes stole my heart decades ago while listening to "Money Honey!" My original records I still have and can once again play them since record players are making a comeback. The BCR CDs I was able to acquire over the years sound great but there's nothing like being able to go back to when you were years younger when when life was fun and care-free and playing your records on your own turn table in your old bedroom, singing along with your friends who were also crazy about The Bay City Rollers and we each claimed a Roller as our own. Eric was mine and still is! 💖💖💖💖

This is a fantastic interview. A lovely man that is Eric Faulkner. So glad it happened in Scotland. The cradle of modern civilization. The Bay City Rollers deserve a spot in the RnR Hall of Fame. They were simply a worldwide phenomenon in the 70s. A legacy to last 100 years.

This is a good interview (although now a few years old). Diane E. Redpath has the right approach with Eric: warm, interested, but not too gushy. She gets this private person to open up a little about what he feels about his life and his music. He handles his fame and the adoration of his fans with his usual relaxed style and wry humour. Eric's evolving story is told through his music and the words to that music. I do not know of many rock stars who have such an enduring, interested following on the internet, as Eric. So, interviews such as this give us a rare glimpse into the man and his music that we all love. More please Eric!

My first rock concert was to see Eric Faulkner and BCR play in the USA in the summer of 1977, and what a thrill that was for me as a teenager. Eric is truly a multi faceted and talented musician, singer songwriter. I am pleased to see that he has posted several really great acoustic sets to KZbin as well. Eric if you are reviewing any of these posts would you please open your posts for comments? Interaction with the long time fans is a great motivator. People are truly interested in your music and what it is that you have to say musically. God Bless you Eric, and keep on creating, you are a great talent.

Took me away from my sexually abusive dad and a beautiful mom who didn't know how to handle her baby's death so she drank I feel as tho I owe so much to them yet they will never know I think a movie about them would be fantastic! I was honoured to interview Eric & Les back in the “It’s A Game” days/tour & it was rather quite interesting. Eric was quiet but took it seriously & Les didn’t (he’s charismatic!). I’ve seen Les in concert in the 90s so I’d definitely want to see Eric play, he’d have to come to the Canadian Calgary (in case he thinks I’m talking about the Scottish one😁). Fond memories from that day & evening (my friends & I so how got rooms directly below theirs in the hotel! I went out on the balcony after the interview & looked up & there was Les!). Definitely want to see the adult version of Eric, he came across as the intellectual of the group.
@stevechristie25693 жыл бұрын
Is there a Scottish Calgary? I'm Scottish.
@Elizabeth-rq1vi3 жыл бұрын
@@stevechristie2569 yes, the one in Alberta was named after the Scottish one. “Calgary is a hamlet on the northwest coast of the Isle of Mull, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, United Kingdom. The hamlet is within the parish of Kilninian and Kilmore. It was the origin of the name of Fort Calgary in Canada, which became the city of Calgary, Alberta.” From Wikipedia. I just looked on a map....it’s out in the edge of nowhere on Mull Island NW of Glasgow. Basically a “blink and you’ll miss it” place.
