all these great selling points that are bragged about over and over by foley and stricklin, and yet, elite football prospects are allergic to the gator program. they commit elsewhere. filling a roster full of decent players gets you decent results.

Did he say other sports are as important as football? Did I hear that correctly? 😳

Why would he NOT say that? I mean his position has some political/pr aspects. If you put one area over another publicly, you run the risk of losing the confidence of those areas. I will bet he personally feels a bit differently about what is most important. Especially from a financial standpoint. But, hey, you paint your picture, and I'll paint mine.

you ain't the only one that heard that. its the same old BS mantra that jeremy foley spewed during his time here. a womens dart throwing championship is just as meaningful as a football or basketball championship. yeah ? right ? NOPE!

@@Coolhand7 because programs like Bama, GA, LSU, Ohio St, OU etc. would never admit that nor even think of it. Foley and Stricklin are content with Fla being the Stamford of the South. An all sports academic institution. Gator football will not be elite again until change from the higher ups happens

@JET MECH more like Foley inherited Spurrier on to have him quit on him. Needing BMeachern to solidify the UMeyer hire from their past relationship at Utah. Foley hired unk commodities like Zook, Muschamp and Mac (none with Power 5 HC experience and 2 with no HC experience) and selfishly prioritized non revenue sports to bask in his “AD of the Year” Glory. Foley had Spurrier, Meyer and Billy D all quit on him to seek employment immediately elsewhere and then hired Stricklin to be his do boy despite being “retired” and still having an office in the AD.

Why you lying Scott. The current setup promotes a better regular season. Expanding the playoff inherently makes the regular season less meaningful. What happens when bama loses one game and plays their second string in the sec championship, because they're going to the playoffs either way.

I dunno, Stricklin may not know what he is doing. Napier not living up to the hype

If you really pay attention to scott stricklin and jeremy foley interviews, it is evident that they value all of the non revenue sports. matter of fact, they brag about championships in basket weaving. they hang their hat on it. they brag about being a top-5 public school. FYI, folks not in the gator circle don't know about that, nor do they care about that. The university and athletic department prioritized and invested in academics, female sports, non-revenue sports, and being on the high ground morally and ethically. as for the football program, it IS a middle of the pack SEC program and STUCK there due to being neglected since urban meyer Left. The current administration cares zero for football, their pockets are Lined regardless if we win or Lose. if they really wanted to be a great football program, they're clueless about actually doing it.

He's just saying that for PR. relax man. Look at how many staff we've hired for FB, not only that but building a MASSIVE practice facility. Napier has already transformed the food and living situations for many players.

@@fetaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa the football only facility is a decade too late (just as the IPFC was that Foley originally wanted a 50 yard one) and the food being crap under Mullen is another example of the ADept not caring. Title IX U is Foley and Stricklin’s dream. Just look at NIL and now Fla refuses to operate with it compared to schools like Tenn, Mia, Lou, USC, TX, Tamu etc.

Well said. Stop supporting this imposter. He absolutely has no intention of moving the needle on football. The Gator Collective is an embarrassment.
