Jim Ladd interviews Jeff Porcaro and David Paich of Toto.
This is part 2.
They talk about forming the band, sessions, songwriting and lots more. This part also features Boz Scaggs and Jim Ladd's dog!
I had this on vinyl so I converted it over, hence all the hiss and clicks. I also edited out the songs.
I'm guessing this is from 1978, but it could also be 1979.

I saw Toto on their Toto XIV tour in Spokane Washington from the 5th row and it was my kids first rock concert (9 and 6 years old!), they loved it and Toto was as good as ever. Then in September 2018, my wife and I sat VIP front row center at the Moore Theater in Seattle for their 40 Trips Around the Sun tour. Got to go to sound check, talk with the band for quite awhile, they were all really nice and down to earth, yet you could feel the energy they possessed. Sure enough they came out and rocked the house all night and their musicianship is second to none in my book. I was literally 10 feet from Lukather jamming the entire night! It was the best concert I've ever been to and I've been to a few in my 57+ years. Steve's book "The Gospel According to Luke" is a very entertaining read. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should be ashamed of themselves if they don't enshrine this band. Individually each one of them is a master at their craft and together they have been amazing for over 40 years now, how does that not get them into the hall. It took Rush and Heart a long time to get in too so maybe their time is coming but it's been too long in my opinion. Get them in, get them in, get them in!

My thoughts exactly! All the members of Toto are incredible musicians. And when you consider that Toto won 6 Grammys for their album Toto IV, how is it possible that Heart and Rush are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when they neither of these bands have won ANY Grammys.
