Not sure why anyone would thumbs down this. Jeff is the epitome of professional. A near perfect session drummer, significantly underrated, and gone way too soon.

One of my favorite groove masters! This man played on so many recordings it’s unbelievable. And the rest of the Toto guys. Gone way too soon! RIP Jeff!

I feel like the groove drummers are able to let the groove breath by barely sneaking that backbeat in before it’s too late.

OH YES, SHORT BUT OUTSTANDING FOOTAGE of Jeff Porcaro in all of its primacy! Was it a real album recording or just rehearsal to kill the time. I love how casually another studio giant, Greg Phillinganes passes at 1:50 just waving for the other master doing his magic. I wish those albums had pictures and videos of their recordings, there's hardly any material to see the musicians and engineers working.

Nope. This seems to be that Limited edition Gretsch kit with gold hardware he'd been spotted using for a tonne of recordings. Well, in this video they're just the toms. I could be wrong however.
@HR26356 жыл бұрын
No.. Gretsch Carpathian Elm edition with gold plated hardware (except for the BD which is a standard US custom).. his favorite kit.. used on 90% of his later recordings.
