honesty, i think his coverage is good for anything non political or social. While he does make make good observation because he has first hand experience as a Japanese in his given society, his commentary is often lacking in depth, very opinioned, and allow people to slander japanese. i had seen thousands voting a American comment under his video that Japanese is unwelcoming because they do not speak English. That is awfully racist and arrogant. I had seen comments under his video, claiming rules are the reason why Japanese are narrow minded. Like seriously? I find your approach more wholesome than his.

"My goal is to be the top Japanese KZbinr with a foreign audience" - does that make you rivals, Takashi-san? 😂
@notoriousresearcher
@notoriousresearcher 2 жыл бұрын
@@DJPaulgee1 I meant more in the spirit of things, given that they technically both focus on a foreign audience, even if their content differs. Think of it as a wholesome shounen style rivalry. 😅
@McCaroni_Sup
@McCaroni_Sup Жыл бұрын
@@DJPaulgee1 Yeah their audiences might overlap (hell, I'm subbed to both lol), but they each bring something different to the table. Shogo's content is more about Japanese traditional culture, history, and discussions about how these affect the social climate of Japan. Takashi's content is more about exploring the social climate at the street level. Both channels have informative content with unique presentations that make them valuable in different ways. Also Shogo is in Kyoto and Takashi is in Tokyo lol.
