Miss you Lisa. Miss your Voice with Celtic Women. I Love Fields of Gold when Celtic Women were at the Castle. My parents and I saw the show of PBS here in Canada it was 2010. My father passed away Aug 2010 and the Fields of Gold was always my favorite and memory of my Father. Thank you

Thank you for doing this interview. I fell in love with her singing (as well as CW) that it saved my life. She has a voice of an angel (i know everyone says that) but it doesn't change the fact. It was so nice to hear her story, behind the singer.

Listening to Lisa brings up fond and funny memories. My grandparents immigrated from Dublin, Ireland to New York in the early 1920's. At the time, they had two daughters and a son. Like Lisa explained, in many Irish households, music traditional and modern was part of the way of life. Pop, could sit down at a piano, play by ear and sing very well. Nana would play the accordion and sing as well. My two aunts and uncle were also very talented musically, singing and playing instruments, always valuable at family get togethers. Now, over the balance of the 1920's and 30's, Nana gave birth to eight more children, six more boys and two girls. All my my aunts and uncles born here in the States had no musical talent at all! None played instruments or could sing. Most of my 36 first cousins are the same way! We all very much love and appreciate music but, it seems like that "music talent" gene died on the boat coming across the Atlantic. Love listening to Celtic Woman, so many of their songs just melt my crusty old sailor's heart.

This woman gives an amazing interview. In the few I've found with her, I have learned so much from Lisa Kelly. Thank you, Classical Crossover and Natasha Barbieri, for this and for all of these Connections talks, and for the musical art you gift to us all.

Great interview. I enjoy hearing Lisa talk as much as I like hearing her sing. I've had the privilege of seeing Lisa once with Celtic Woman and once in Peachtree City. I hope to see Lisa and her students again in the future.
