Centurion barrels are impressive. Cold hammer forged and well gassed. Their receivers are done perfectly well with good ano. They have what are probably my favorite handguards out there

I bought one of his barrels back in 2012 I believe. I recently assembled a new rifle around it. I added their BCG, their gas tube and their gas block. The quality of these items is impressive and I would recommend them to anyone building a rifle that will see hard use. Thank you for bringing us this great interview and keep up the good work. Allen hasn't retired. He's as busy as ever cranking out suppressors. When the rumor started that he was going to close up shop, he received two years worth of orders within a matter of weeks. I just spoke with him about a month and he's gone from working 7 days a week to six days a week, and only working 10 hours a day instead of 12 hours. The AE version of the AEM5 is still the way to go and the best version of the can on the market!

I have bought a few lowers and uppers from Centurion over the years and they are all 100% solid gtg. The 16" Recce I have is hands down the most accurate 556 rifle I own .

My personal favorite will always be LMT , Colt / Colt Canada / Diemaco and Centurion. I bought my first C4 rail in 2012 and bought my first Upper in 2014ish . Centurion 13.7 MIDWEIGHT HF with C4 12" Quad and LWRCI IC Lower is my favorite setup . I'm gonna be building LW 2Gun Upper in the next couple weeks . Hopefully Centurion will have 13.7 or 14.5 LW HF barrels in stock soon . Centurion barrels are by far some of the most accurate barrels . Those tapered bores make hell of a difference. Love your Triggers Monty but sorry my go too will always be Geissele SD3G lol

Just to set the record straight; Ron Allen is not retired and is still making the AEM5, he's just backlogged so much that he's had to stop taking backorders until the backlog is taken care of. The shit part of that is that retailers are charging twice or thrice the MSRP, which has pissed Ron off a bit. Otter Creek coming along has eased up the demand, though he's none too fond of some of the press that Otter Creek did regarding the AEM5 versus their can design on release.
