Wonderful interview. I’m 65 and had the most wonderful gift of being taught to play. I still play daily. And at church. Thanks to a mom and dad who encouraged me. Dad was a great pianist. We too have a Yamaha downstairs and a clavinova upstairs. Blessings to your mom!

What a great interview Natalie and Christina! We now see the fruit of her sticking by you all, with her encouragement - and tolerance!! I am also thankful to my Mum who did the same for me. Thank God for Godly parents with a vision and can recognise potential even in these difficult times when there are so many distractions....

What a blessing this was! As you've heard your Daddy testify, The Raynes and The Garrett families go back to the 60's. His musical ability always amazed me. I'm a few years older and play a little by ear.....only in a few keys, so I am more like your Mom. I was always so relieved to see your Daddy walk in to the preacher's fellowship meetings at Brooklyn Baptist. Even as a teenager, he could play for anyone to sing, so I was off the hook if he was there. My Daddy was so proud that I could play, but didn't understand that I couldn't play it if I had not heard it. God bless you all and we enjoy hearing your singing and playing so much.❤

In all the times I've listened and watch you play, this is one of the best. Eagerly waiting for more like this and the interview with your dad. At 70, I decided to learn piano and I have a dedicated teacher. Listening to you play inspires me, so thank you for the blessings you share!

Thanks for sharing this! I currently have three children taking lessons (1st grade, 3rd grade, and 6th grade), and it is a trial of patience sometimes! But I know the work will pay off. This was very encouraging. I hope I can become more patient like your mom.

4/23/2024. Just had the wonderful privilege of watching the interview with your Mom! Oh what a precious, precious interview! She is truly a dear! How blessed you all are! I do not know you, but love you all. The precious kindred SPIRIT that I sense from your videos is very special to me and encourages me to press on to ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ I Need Thee Every Hour’. I am greatful from the depths of my heart for: 1.) your deep purpose and desire to follow Jesus, The Christ; 2.) your servant heart; 3.) your willingness to share His blessings and to share Jesus, The WORD. I hope I have the opportunity to meet you all some day!

Loved your interview and family history. It reminded me of growing up in my Christian home. We (my sisters and I) all started Piano lessons in 3rd grade, and we had both Piano and Organ in our home,(opposite ends of the living room), so I would lay on carpet floor half way in between and sing as my sisters practiced hymns getting ready for church. I Love your music ministry and looking forward to meeting you in the air....rapture ready !!!

I simply am mesmerized by Natalies remarkable piano skills. My music began in 6th grade when I began on the trumpet for band. I took piano lessons when in the 7th grade. I was always nervous to play in piano recitals. Eventually my wonderful band director, Anthony Allo discovered I had a very good ear for music and introduced me to the French Horn on which I excelled, playing first chair for 3 years in high school. In piano I came to realize that playing hymns was my favorite as was southern gospel music. True story: Buck, Dottie and Reba lived in my hometown. Reba was in 2nd grade with me whereupon puppy love swallowed me and I thought Reba was my girlfriend! So I loved the Singing Rambos ever since. I now have a collection of several old hymn books as well as nearly all the Gaither songbooks. Though I still am nervous playing publicly, I now play in my church ( until Covid struck). I must say everyone tells me I’m pretty good, I’m nowhere near the level of you. And I’ve been blessed with vocal skills (bass). You are an inspiration so thank you sooo much! Thanks for that video. My mother put up with a lot my violin, my brother 's cello and all of us learning piano. I am so grateful for my mother's also making us memorize Bible scripture passages. She also had us read at least one chapter from the Bible. I could read faster than my brother, so I had to read three chapters instead of his one to take as much time. Wonderful for Christian upbringing!

I have a Kohler and Campbell piano. I think they sound so good. It was my husband and my first piece of furniture that we bought when we got married. We've had it for 50 years and it was used when we got it. Still sounds good. I enjoyed your interview with your Mom. That saxaphone story is so funny. Your Mom is so sweet.

In first grade I tried the violin but having hydro cephalis (a form of cerebral palsy) it was very difficult so I started playing the piano (by ear) I would be able to play hymns and worship songs. I am in no way close to what Natalie can do. I am glad I found this channel. My first song was "Trust and Obey. I started singing when I was a sophomore in High School.

I like your mother, have an ear for music and I can hear different parts, and I tried to do that, but we never owned a piano. There was not room for one in our house. We have a children and the living room was very small and the dining room didn’t afford itself and those where are 2 Main Rooms So I really don’t read notes either I can but I don’t.

Four girls in my family with no option regarding lessons... sounds familiar. My dad let me quit at 16, however. Practicing was eating up a lot of my after school time and I am no performer. (He called my performances his lessons in humility.) My kids had to quit due to lack of teachers. You were blessed there, too.

I enjoyed this video. Your mother is so sweet and beautiful just like you. I don't mean that in a bad way friend. Lol. I wish your mother's piano teacher had taught her notes! That's about the same way my piano teacher did me. I would give anything to know my notes I guess there's still hope for me. God has greatly blessed your!! Play 3 ir 4 verses of..."So send I you" for me sometime.
