Oz is one of the most underrated Guitar Players! Love Stryper since the 80's
@uhdudewhy79802 ай бұрын
Definitely underrated. Oz and I jammed several times when I worked next-door to where he worked before he got famous, back in 1980 - '81. He was a character. We could overhear him screaming heavy metal lyrics while he worked. He was the first one to tell me Reagan got shot and the second one to tell me John Lennon got killed (my dad was the first).

"God knows what you need." Thank you for that, Oz. Always trust, even when you don't see or feel His presence. That's what builds faith.

There are so many bands that I admire and love to listen to and love to hear their stories. I never thought of what musicians did when they weren't on tour after long "hiatus". Oz operated fork lifts for almost 10 years to work is brand new to my ears. wow! Amazing interview.
@tahuonefiveseven7422 Жыл бұрын
I know this an old comment but from what I understand Michael Sweet kinda screwed over the rest of the band members. He took home virtually all of the profits from the band. Timothy Gaines left the band after the album Fallen (I think) because money continued to be a dispute amongst the members. Stryper should have set up all four members pretty well financially but instead Oz Fox had to go and do manual labor during the split up period. Pretty sure Michael Sweet never had to do that. Pretty sad really.

I am 52 yrs old, a Stryper fan since they released that first 8 song cassette tape! I’ve got to tell you that I got so much from this interview but the most important word or concept Oz mentioned that hit me hard is Surrender. It is so apparent to me that the Holy Spirit was leading me to watch this video because of that very concept! I have tears in my eyes as I type this because I’m so tired of being an un-surrendered believer. Is there a way I can connect with your pastor and even Oz so I can share more of what I’ve been going through?

ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS.....I have learned..... .....I used to ''pray''' to ''god''' for this or that and just babble on not really knowing WHAT I truly needed.....then ...ONE DAY.......IN A MOMENT of clarity I was over come by what we call the spirit ....and it said....why oh why do you seek me outside of your '''self'' ?.....I said well that is all I know to do..........it said....have you not read..'''the kingdom of god IS within you''....or....."" I know all you will ask before you ask it''.?......I said yes...i have but i have hard time comprehending this......it said well let me ask YOU.....do you think for a moment that YOU are seperate from what created you..?...I said well...hmmm...NO I suppose not ...... that WOULD be totally illogical...........it said....do not you think all creation IS logical..?....I said wow......hmmm YES.... it said OK.....well now stop asking for things and just focus on ...'''be perfect as your father in heaven IS perfect......and LIVE every moment KNOWING you are surrounded with the presence of ''god'' ...much love [[[[[[[[[Teesus]]]]]]]]]]]

Great interview, would love to see the worship service too! Pastor and church, Oz and Annie need prayer for direction and healing for his body as they go through the next steps of healing and/or surgery for the still growing tumors in his brain...and that if he does have surgery that God will supernaturally guide the surgeons hands so that nothing effects Oz' ability to play guitar or form words to sing and speak. And a speedy recovery in Jesus name 'cuz Stryper is planning a new tour in 2020-2021 and needs Oz Fox at his best! ISAIAH 53:5

How can you play in bars and clubs be yoked up and hanging out with unbelievers being the entertainment for people partying and doing whatever and helping the bar sell alcohol this can not please GOD .if the gospel of jesus christ is not being communicated your just getting loud and playing Rock Star showcasing hot guitar playing .

The Pharisees asked the same question about Jesus..... 10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a] For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

@@donmcc6573 yes but Jesus is god we are not Jesus is the savior we are not we are week we can fall back into the sam's dump we were in before Jesus saved us if we read the gospel it says come out from among them we can be dragged back in I play guitar myself and I could not go back to that and hang out with those people that would absolutely quench the spirit of God in me and to play all that secular junk music is even worse that will stifle the holy spirit of God in you and cause you to get drug back into some things that you shouldn't be in.

There is no such thing as homophobia, this has nothing to do with god. The Bible is very clear "Leviticus 18:22 May 11, 2016 “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” "Romans 1:26-27 New International Version 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." any other then that is BLASPHEMY!
