I've been a fan of Stryper from the get-go. I saw an ad in, IIRC, Time magazine, just after they released their initial album. This short artical talked about Stryper, and them being a Christian band. I quickly ordered the cassette, and was blown away! Awesome rock. Been a fan ever since. Thank you Stryper, giving God the glory. Beautiful guitar, btw.

That's not a question that can really be answered, both these guys are pros and most likely poses the same skill level, it's a subjective thing anyway. That being said, i prefer Michaels style, to me it's more melodic and I just prefer some of his phrasing and note choices.

They had very close ties to Grover Jackson in the early Stryper years, but it is also possible (like with many companies) changes made to the guitar making process might have pushed Mike and Oz away. They once endorsed Orange amps, but that was not for long. They both went back to Marshall. When an artist is endorsed (which is a hell of a process) there is a family aspect to it. So going back to Jackson, Mike may have decided not to re up the endorsement for his own reasons. Yes they were very early adopters, but things change. How long will Mike stay with Washburn remains to be seen. The relationship is what matters to an artist.

Niiiiice.Looks so "thin" from front to back and light as a feather.I personally prefer the Kelly Kind of shape to the flying V.I got an ancient crimson Ibanez Destroyer 2 like(or similar) to what Adrian Smith used to Play.Also a Jackson Kelly which was resprayed into a beautiful medium blue..But my fave is the Peavey Vandenberg which I had made for me last year by a legit Company (in bright red).Also an Ibanez Gio Soundgear bass in "candy " blue(who Comes up with These names?).that's my kit so far for Aqaba Gulf.My other Project is Headless Deathwish.Be seeing ya hopefully on the road in the future.

The important question is whether "Stryper" refers to a fish or a nurse in training. Only two stypers or stripers I know of, other than maybe a road painting crew.

hey Mike just want to let you know longtime fan of yours and striper looking forward to your next album but unfortunately on this Christmas I have to bring you some unfortunate news about one of your people that support you Washburn guitars my wife a few years ago bought me one and at that time it was a tie supposed to be top-of-the-line she spent you know some good money for it and she'd ordered it through their their website and their company and when we got it it was the wrong vindicatorcuz the one she paid for was the one with all the bells and whistles you know whammy bar best pickups everything number one and it was Snow White no cheesy black trim or anyting will they sent me the the cheapest vindicator they ever made and on top of that this was a surprise gift to me and they send it to me with an internally broken neckand this is nothing that we let go that we let slide or anyting we immediately contacted them let them know something was wrong with the guitar we could have took guitar shop they told us what was wrong we sent them the information from the guitar shop that inspected itWilliam Galvin attorney to write them a letter to let them know that that's not a good way to do business and we've contacted them probably 30-40 times over the past I don't know 10 years maybe and they oh yeah oh yeah we're going to do this will do that and they never do nothing and you know they keep on passing the buckyou know it's unfortunate because I used to be a huge Washburn fan and I was really surprised when I found out you allowed them to do a signature guitar for you after what happened to me but I wish you the best of luck with it but I would not be putting nothing outthat's a reputable because they're not they they totally screwed me and my wife over it was a gift of surprise gift from me and basically what happened was it's the wrong guitar begin with the cheapest one they got they said she had way overpaid for and then turn around and it had a internally broken neck on top of that so yeah that was a hell of a present you knowpardon my French but I'm blowing them up all over the all over the internet right now all my guitar friends and my guitar people are dogging them like crazy I'm getting ready to switch over to Chapman guitars I'm not going to be dealing with Washburn no more and I just left them a nice cozy little letter for their customer serviceand sorry about the punctuation of this letter I'm actually using Google chat because my hand is actually hurt right nowbut I'll be alright stay safe out there on the road hopefully you'll make your way to Dayton Ohio would love to see you again man you're like family I feel like I've known you all my life you guys have helped me through some of the hardest times of my life God bless you and I believe you're a good person and I know you know I've been a fan of yours since you know to hell with the devil you know I loved the whole striper thing you know I was a motley Crew had to I was a testament had but I always had striper cranking in my car I love you guys you guys are like family you know I almost died recently due to having ulcerative colitisthe hospital gave me a 1% chance to walk out not only did I have ulcerative colitis but my body had gone totally septic because of the altar ulcerative colitisand I guess a lot of people thought I was going to die and God save me you know he he saved my life why I don't know but I'm grateful for every day now and listen to you guys all the time big fan hopefully you guys are coming to Dayton and touch some hearts you know it's been awhile ❤️

Does anyone know how is this compare to a custom 24 PRS?
@RowdyGrunt6 жыл бұрын
Yep! They are very different feeling, but equal quality animals. Incidentally, I found this video because I am seeking this USA model to purchase, and I am going to part with one of my custom 24's to make room. The C24 feels "thick", heavy, and powerful; this guitar feels sleek, fast, and powerful. As much as I love my PRS's, the feel of this guitar may see those PRS will sit in their rack more often. All of that said, you cannot go wrong with either one. Wanna buy a limited edition, blueberry quilt 10 top (not the typical flame)Custom 24 with Paul's autograph on it? :-)

MS said back when Grover was still running things he and Oz had a great experience w/ him and that he would go above and beyond to get them whatever they needed, he said they had a great working relationship. He said when Fender took over they acted as if they'd never heard of Stryper or MS or Oz and wouldnt' give them the time of day. So MS went to Carvin and had one done, and he also played PRS w/ Boston. But Washburn he said came to him and really created that working relationship he had w/ Grover in the 80's. And they are doing some more MS guitars coming in the near future, MS has said..Even a MS acoustic as well

another thing that I would tell you Mike is if I may call you Mike mr. Sweet but I've been writing music myself and my friends laugh and they say it sounds like a twist between striper and testament on guitarI just really hate that Washburn done me that way because you know I really needed that guitar and you know they couldn't make it right by giving me five guitars at this point I mean cuz they've dragged it out so many years now and nothing I mean that they don't even talk to me no more I'll send an email after email after email out I've written them you know my lawyer sent some notices and they're playing big corporation just blowing everything off and trying to wake me out well it ain't going to work cuz you know this web is a wonderful thing when somebody does you that dirty and you know they took hard-earned money and they they really crapped on us and that's just not right but I wish you the best sirand I just thought it was funny and it kind of reminded me that my friends have been talkin to me about the way I've been riding my music and how it sounds like a mixture between testament and you and striper and they said maybe with a touch of Def Leppard and motley Crue you know I'm very flexiblemusically I love it all but striper was always one of my main bands and I would love to see you guys come back to Dayton Ohio Cincinnati Ohio Middletown Ohio you know buckeye stadium you know we need striper Ohio needs striperand honestly I don't even know why I even told you about my problems with Washburn I'm sorry that was very selfish of me please forgive meI know there's nothing that you would care to do or what to do about it to help me out or anyting and I'm not asking you to but I just wanted you to know what kind of company they really are to us people down here on the bottom
